Jax reveals that Jordan had endured mental abuse from her previous gymnastics coach, an experience that undoubtedly took a toll on her confidence and determination. Additionally, the post mentions how a former Olympian doubted Jordan’s abilities and claimed she would never reach the podium.

Despite these adversities, Jordan Chiles refused to give up on her dreams. In 2018, she found herself on the verge of quitting gymnastics altogether. However, she persevered and ultimately secured a spot on the US Women’s Olympic Gymnastics Team. At the Tokyo Olympics, Jordan’s hard work and resilience paid off, as she stepped into Simone Biles‘s shoes and won a silver medal for Team USA. She has earned three perfect-10 scores and first-team All-Pac-12 honors on the uneven bars and floor exercise in her freshman year.

Chiles plans to finish her schooling at UCLA after the 2024 Paris Olympics. She has already secured a spot for the US team at event, by winning a team gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in Liverpool, England.

Chiles also won individual silver medals in vaulting and floor exercises at the same competition. The gymnast trains at the World Champions Center in Spring, Texas, with her elite coaches, Laurent Landi, and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi. She is also good friends with Simone Biles, her teammate, and mentor, whose participation in the 2024 Games is yet not confirmed.
