To make things worse for the 2020 Olympic all-around champion, her kidney problems took a toll on her health and she had to take an early exit from both the 2023 US Core Hydration Classic and the 2023 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships. Despite the hurdles, the Minnesota native has started from scratch once again after she took hiatus from both collegiate and elite gymnastics in the wake of health issues.

Even through her trials, she never showed signs of despair. Although the cracks appeared, the gymnast would immediately seal them shut with renewed determination. Amid her positive outlook towards life, she sometimes picks up retail therapy to keep the shadow of gloom at bay. Recently, she washed down the grief of missing the World Gymnastics performance with a luxurious purchase from her favorite design house.

When it comes to fashion, Suni Lee trusts no other luxury brand but Prada. The Hmong-American shared a story on her Instagram page wearing a blue jacket. She paired the look with black skin-tight leather pants and a necklace around her neck with the Olympic circles. Fans also witnessed her love for Prada bags taking a backseat in her latest story as she opted for show off her Prada jacket this time. She looked healthy in the selfie and even pouted for the camera on her new iPhone. This was enough to send her fans into a frenzy, who felt confident of her return to the Olympic podium in 2024. Earlier in August, Sunisa Lee had said, “I feel like if I was going at the pace that I was back then, I would definitely be ready for the Olympics”. She did make a comeback for the U.S. Classic, but since then, nothing has gone according to plan.

After the National Championships, her condition deteriorated, and she had to take another break from gymnastics. Ultimately, she abandoned her World Championships dreams and focused on recovery. But seeing the Olympics circles on her body once more, alongside the Prada Jacket, the fans could not brook their excitement.
