

Over the years, the world of gymnastics has seen many top-notch athletes overcome struggles to pursue their dreams. Staunch athletes, including Sunisa Lee and Gabby Douglas, have tackled many mental health and physical issues to achieve the pinnacle on the mats. The athletes despite the setbacks have even managed to secure medals in the big games as well.
Following this, a six-year-old gymnast from Oklahoma with a burning passion and zeal for gymnastics is facing everything life is throwing at her to follow her dreams. And, to help her daughter, the six-year-old gymnast’s mother, despite poor health conditions, is doing her best to help her daughter in harnessing her skills.

6-year-old following her gymnastics dreams
A six-year-old gymnast Mi’lahnie, with the help of her mother, is following her passion for gymnastics and goes to practice every three days a week. The gymnast goes to the Above & Beyond Gymnastics Center located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. According to the Mi’lahnie’s coach, the gymnast?s tumblers and vaults are the 6-year-old’s strongest suits.
However, the young gymnast, after starting competitive gymnastics, has faced many struggles. The 6-year-old’s mother, Tityana Henry, is suffering from an autoimmune disease that nearly killed her in 2022. According to Tityana Henry, she has autoimmune currently but went into sepsis last year. Nonetheless, the single mother is still showing her support for her daughter.
Henry who works two jobs keeps face-timing her daughter while she’s in the hospital and sometimes even goes to her practice to see her daughter’s skills on the beam. In an interview with Fox, the 6-year-old?s mother told the media, “Mi?lahnie has literally been with me every step of the way on top of being in the gym.”

The 6-year-old has also shown utmost support towards her mother and is also ready to help her mother in every way. There has even been a talk of the 6-year-old leaving gymnastics as well. The gymnastics center Above & Beyond, which appreciates Mi’lahnie’s talent, understands the gymnast and her mother’s financial struggles as well.

Above & Beyond understanding the struggles of Mi’lahnie
According to the Co-owner of Above & Beyond, Cindy Heisterberg, despite all the financial aid being provided by the center, the expenses can become a huge struggle for the family. As the clothes and other materials required for training are also very expensive. Further, the medical bills have also made Mi’lahniei’s dreams harder for Henry to afford. Heisterberg, who has seen the hard work Henry puts in for Mi’lahnie, revealed despite managing two jobs she takes full care of her six-year-old.

Now in order to pursue gymnastics seriously the 6-year-old needs full dedication towards the sport. The gymnast needs to go to the Above & Beyond every day and practice nine hours to make a career out of her passion. To help the 6-year-old, a GoFundMe page has also been set up to contribute to the expenses of her gymnastics career. Hopefully, with the support of other gymnastics enthusiasts, 6-year-old Mi’lhaine will be able to see her dreams come true.
