The road to the top is an endearing one, and no one understands it better than those who are striving to maintain their reputation. In this instance, the dynamic tallies of gymnastics are under scrutiny for foul play in their roster. The Australian national gymnastics qualifier line-up omitted its senior men’s gymnast’s name from the list in an unexplained breach.

As soon as the news broke, the internet went into an uproar over the gymnasts’ sexual orientation being a factor. Despite being denied his second comeback and ending up badly in debt, the gymnast continues to push for a berth as the competition approaches.

Australian all-around champ, Heath Thorpe,?is having a rollercoaster ride-like year. Everything was headed in the right direction since he won the country?s highest honor, the national championship. But the Australian Gymnastics booted him off the final roster of the senior men’s gymnastics team last month. Now, it seems like Thorpe has decided to be present at the premier event in Belgium by hook or by crook. He announced on Sunday that he would be present at the venue as a journalist.

Interestingly, the gymnast is capitalizing on his communications degree by covering the event instead. A genius idea by the millennial which further impressed his fans. And what better place to add to his resume than one of the world’s biggest gymnastics competitions? An array of praise poured in under his tweet where he wrote, ?Got my media accreditation for the World Championships and my first journalist gig!? reported Queerty.

After publicly coming out as gay at 18, the gymnastics sensation remains an inspiration to others after the turn of events. In a Twitter(X) post, he wrote, ?Whilst I am incredibly disappointed by the outcome of this appeal, I am proud of myself for standing my ground and asserting my values and self-belief.? After losing a seat at the Tokyo Olympics Trials, Thorpe is clearly upset, calling the setback a “huge blow” to his route to the Paris Olympics.
