The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans will seat thousands of LSU gymnastics fans. In no time, the SEC Championships will blow its bugle and none other than the LSU Tigers will give the fifth SEC title a shot. The nationally ranked No. 3 team has the highest-paid NCAA gymnast Olivia Dunne, who’s just an inch away from drawing a line to her career. But before stepping out of her alma mater, she’s going through a carousel of celebrations.

The 21-year-old social media sensation accompanied her team to the Senior Night ceremonies a week ago. The merry-making ensued from LSU’s win against the North Carolina team, a perfect ending to the ‘meet szn’. Unsurprisingly, Livvy is making the most of her time left in her senior year. But who’s standing as a pillar of strength in her emotional days?

Olivia Dunne’s mom takes great pride

Resorting to her TikTok, the 21-year-old posted a series of photos, which was enough proof that bidding farewell as a senior calls for mixed emotions. Capping off “Soaking up every last minute”, Livvy compiled some of her gymnastic maneuvers and mid-game moments. At the recent Podium Challenge, when she secured 9.900 in the floor routine to snatch the lead-off, the world couldn’t stop singing praises. But nobody could outpitch mom Katherine Dunne’s virtual cheers.

Even under her recent TikTok post, she commented, “So proud of you“, paired with a heart-eyed emoji. The NCAA Women’s Gymnastics tournament is all set to kick off in April. But as a starter, the upcoming SEC Championships will have the most attention from the LSU gymnasts. Shortly after Dunne’s Podium Challenge score added up to edge out Texas Women’s University, she stepped out for a much-needed Spring break fun day with mom Kathy.

Not opting for a far-flung locale, the mom-daughter duo tried to stay within the Baton Rouge gates. At BLDG 5 Market + Kitchen + Patio, donning a beautiful black attire, and with a long menu in front, Livvy posed for her mom’s frame. One of her Spring activities also included basking in the sun in a gorgeous chocolate bikini, that too, around Louisiana State University grounds.

In just a few hours, the SEC Championships will welcome the top seed team LSU, followed by Florida trying to nab the pole. In 2019, LSU was the top seed at the SEC, and 5 years later, they have repeated the fate. Fun fact, New Orleans hosted the SEC tournament last in 2019. So, LSU has a fair chance to make the best of their moves.
