Jordan Chiles is indeed a recognizable name in the gymnastics community. The 22-year-old who marked her debut at the 2013 American Classic by winning a bronze has gone on to achieve many greats. The young sensation has earned a name performing at both the Olympics and the 2022 World Gymnastics Championship; further garnering medals in the same.

However, now that the 2023 Worlds has set foot on the grounds of Antwerp, Belgium, Chiles has missed out on making her presence. But as the contest continues with remarkable names, such as Simone Biles, there seems to be a place for the icon’s best friend in the hearts of the audience. As GymCastic took to X to post a video of Rebecca performing on the vaults, the fans online couldn’t help but reminisce about Jordan through the floor music.

America reminisces about rising gymnasts

At the U.S. Women?s World Championships Selection Event held in Kentucky in mid-September this year, Jordan Chiles slipped by numbers to make it to the team for the 2023 Worlds Artistic Gymnastics Championship. Chiles who scored ?53.650 at the event, placed in 9th position among 10 total contestants. The results weren’t just an upsetting event for the gymnast herself but also for the fans following along.

A day before the Artistic Gymnastics Championship, the GymCastic page on X took a moment to share a performance of the gushing gymnast, Rebeca Andrade. The video included the Brazilian performing a vault with a background score of floor music. However, while Rebeca’s performance was imposing, fans of Chiles couldn’t help but notice the similarities in the music.

One of the users, retweeting the post, captioned, “Am I the only one who hears Jordan Chiles 2021 floor music in the back man I miss her.” The floor music Jordan used in 2021 is allegedly named Xap by The Hit House and sounds quite similar to that in the video. But according to a user, the latter is from Breanna Scott.?

 

A remark so simple yet too grand showcases the impact the gymnast has left in the field. Standing worthy of the recognition, Jordan despite the setbacks this year is speculated to be preparing for the Paris 2024.

Jordan Chiles keeps her head high

Earlier this year, Chiles experienced a fallback twice through her course. Participating at the 59th edition of the 2023 Xfinity Championship, Jordan held witness to a minor mistake. The gymnast while performing on the uneven bars stumbled a minor, further followed by a fall on the beam. Nonetheless, Chiles continued strong to perform impressively in the floor exercise. However, the efforts did not prove strong enough for the youngster to head to the top.

Keeping her head up despite the occurrences, went in to perform her best at the U.S. Women?s World Championships Selection. Though the event did not yield desirable results, it gave Jordan a solid base to compete at the Pan American Games; gaining another chance to grab a spot at Paris 2024. Jordan Chiles has previously been a part of the silver-winning team at the Tokyo Olympics and as well as a part of the gold-winning team at the 2022 Worlds.

The gymnast conquering her setbacks and the obstacles, continues to walk strong; proving the recognition she deserves. Chiles will next make her appearance on October 20th lasting through to November 5th for Pan American Games.
