Simone Biles‘s name has long been associated with quality and commitment in the gymnastics community. The world watched her grow—from her junior years on the mats—to an incredible 37 Worlds and Olympic medals making her the most decorated gymnast in the world last year. In addition, the 52,000-square-foot building called World Champions Centre owned by the Biles family goes on to show her lifetime commitment to the sport.
Now, Biles is not alone in imparting her knowledge as she conducts the seventh annual “Biles International Invitational,” a meet and greet that has grown to draw thousands of attendees. Straight from the venue today, many spotted Biles’ husband and NFL safety, Jonathan Owens volunteering for the invitational. Leaving about Owens getting involved in gymnastics.

This year’s Biles Invitational has received an incredible amount of support, with thousands of people turning up to participate. The three-day event began on February 1 and ends tomorrow at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Amidst the chaos, the World Champions Center’s Instagram story shared an unexpected yet touching scene where Owens was seen assiduously helping gymnasts with their applications while sitting on a bench.
The video of the Green Bay Packers player being a part of his wife’s big event only got caught in the initial moment of a 180-degree panorama of the busy area where his braided hair and tattoos stood out in tee. Owens fit in perfectly, playing the volunteer part.
“Cheers to offseason,” Biles shared on Instagram a week after the Packers lost their quest for the Super Bowl title in the playoff against the 49ers. Owens has played six seasons in the league although he joined the Packers on April 2023.
The time off called for a break and what better to make up for all the shared gymnastics moments during Biles’s victorious comeback last year? Hence, joining the Biles Invitational was an obvious choice.

“I remember doing the Mary Lou Retton invitational when I was younger and having her hand off the medals; now I get to do that,” Biles told Fox News, thinking back on her own experiences. In addition to competing and winning, Biles’ contributions outside of competition leave many in awe of her personality as a celeb-athlete.
