Marking her phenomenal return, Sunisa Lee had a splendid appearance as she is en route to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Tokyo 2020 Olympian became a poster girl for the US Olympic team trials gymnastics for June 2024. The gymnastics event was organized at ‘’Huntington Bank’’ Rotunda, the Mall of America during the holiday season. Brought up in Minnesota, Sunisa Lee was also invited as a special guest to the UMN women’s gymnastics event to celebrate the gymnastics.
Mall of America also posted a short clip of the iconic gymnast on its IG story and captioned it as ‘’ Minnesota’s Olympic gold medalist @sunisaLee is here!’’. Sunisa Lee looked joyous while waving her hand to the crowd. And she was overwhelmed after seeing her poster at the event as Minnesota’s pride.
The 20-year-old world champion gymnast also encouraged Minnesota’s young gymnasts in the event. She guided them to take proper positions while stretching their muscles in an informative session.

Sunisa Lee also took to her Instagram handle and expressed her gratitude to Mall of America. She shared her picture which also featured her poster wherein she seems intensely looking towards her poster with self-esteem and gratification. Making it to the global Olympics stage for the second time post an extremely challenging year, for Lee it is an emotionally charged moment. She faced kidney issues, and now as the Olympics is nearing, the pressure to perform with equal conviction as the 2020 Olympics is dawning. But, she stands poised to face it with unwavering determination.

The Olympic trials will be held in June in Minneapolis, near where she was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She clearly relishes the thought of competing in front of a hometown crowd. “I really thrive off of a crowd and the energy, it just helps uplift me and gives me that boost of confidence,’’ Lee said.
