The cinematic rivalry between two hyped-up movies divided the world this year. Greta Gerwig’s elegant pink portrayal of normalcy battled with Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece of a biographical thriller. The waves traveled across industries reaching the gymnastics great Simone Biles. Being a 90s kid, the gymnast jumped in on the Barbie-core trend only to confess being a Bratz girl. Akin to the 2001 launch of the Barbie-alternative Bratz dolls, she has always been her sport’s redefiner.
However, the Olympian ? who broke a 90-year-old record this past Sunday ? cheerfully shared the Barbie buzz with her closest girls. Everyone joined it except the youngest and cutest girl in her life until now. Being the favorite one does hold some importance after all, and undoubtedly the wait was just worthwhile.

When the Barbie movie arrived in theaters, 26-year-old Biles had been keeping busy with her demanding practice in Houston. The 6.9 Instagram Followers holder made no bones about taking the time to join in the fad. She made a lighthearted confession about not liking the pink-painted world at the time, and then she made another candid revelation. Contrary to the gymnast, her 9-month-old niece Ronni Biles joined the Barbie side. The revelation was announced via an Instagram story that her mother Sammi Biles posted with the sticker “Hi Barbie!”
Ronni’s baby pink top with a Barbie graphic print and her denim shorts made an ideal summer outfit for the sweltering heat. With the teether attached to her top and her looking sideways, the girl already understands when her fits are stunning. The tiny tot also wore a hot pink headband covering her newborn hair. The photo was soon added to the “ronni-ootd” story highlight on Sammi’s page @ivfbelieveinbabybiles. It all became perfect with the added trendy song from the Barbie movie, “Hi, Barbie, Hi, Ken!”

Simone, a self-described Bratz Girl, was among the tribe of girls who began describing their personalities as hip-hop-inspired Bratz dolls. Ditching the typical softcore pink and opting for more contemporary and edgy clothing. Here’s the complete truth, though. Biles, who currently has 606K followers on the Threads app, let her heart take over and stated, “when you see me at the theater with my barbie shirt, mind your business.” Soon after Biles shared her thoughts, other athletes followed as well, while she perfectly embraced the Barbie craze.

Keeping the Barbie wildfire alive, here’s everything Simone Biles and other girls did!
With its calming pink color, the unique new “normal” representation attracted many illustrious athletes from cross-sports. Biles shared a clip of her wedding celebration in April, celebrating the occasion with champagne while having fun with her bridesmaids. Barbie World, a popular remix of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice and joined the craze with her tagline “Barbie and her Bratz,” is one example. Internet bombshell and gymnast Olivia Dunne and former skier Lindsey Vonn also joined the Barbiecore craze. The alpine skier even put a beautiful self-reflective message and said, ?the biggest takeaway is that real life isn?t perfect. I work hard, kindness is at my core, I have cellulite, I have wrinkles, I have fallen more times than I can count but I always get back up.?
All of these girls along with Biles are involved in interesting projects that support young girls. Vonn is part of? “Project Rock” with the legendary Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to encourage young girls at Girls Athletic Leadership School. LSU sophomore Dunne set up Livvy Fund to help women?s sports. While Biles occasionally engages in workshops to help foster an empowering mindset in young girls. Girls like Ronni Biles will grow up with a healthier option given all the uplifting women who are showing up to promote the most powerful atmosphere, as demonstrated by Barbie.
