Simone Biles has completely taken over this age of gymnastics. Her elite journey began a decade back when she stumbled upon landing. Before her event finals withdrawal from the Tokyo Games two years back, Simone had already added four named moves to her impressive portfolio. Already on the elite list of American Olympians, she got candid about battling mental health due to mounted pressure at the global event. Upon her comeback, the gymnast took up her pending feats redefining the mythical notions in gymnastics.

In just three events attendance her skills reallotted her the active legend status on the mats. Biles returned as the oldest gymnast in the lineup posing a challenge to her teammates on the American senior gymnastics team. Notably, despite narrow-margin finishes, no other gymnast was able to dethrone her in the all-around discipline. Now reaching the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the sixth time, Biles finally spoke out about her beliefs.

Following up on her eighth all-around victory from last month, Biles added another incredible victory that was redefined after 90 years. Gunning for the Summer Olympics next year, she is heading to Belgium with four Olympian gymnasts vying for team gold. Three days before the event, the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships team spoke with the winningest gymnast releasing an Instagram reel recently. When asked about her advice for young gymnasts, Biles confidently replied, “I would say to trust in your gymnastics.”

She added succinctly, “Believe in yourself and always have fun,” promoting both sport and the athlete. This will be the first international competition since her podium finish in the balancing beam routine following the twisties incident. Showing more rigor than ever, taking the lead was not an easy route for Biles who came first on the all-around day continuing her winning streak in Worlds selection camp. However, her shaky apparatuses’ landings even opened speculations about her ability to surpass Shilese Jones.

With global records of 25 Worlds and Olympics, Simone practiced what she preached, forgoing the ultimate goal of sweeping golds before hanging her leotard. Biles took a strong stand about the dangerous mid-air maneuvering and the psychological “hang” she faced affecting her physically and mentally. Being a seasoned gymnast and coming to terms with her health took her some time. Ascending to success while balancing recovery was the most update on her state.
