Leading her troupe, Simone Biles once again proves who is in command of the gymnastics world. The Texas-born athlete is sweeping titles in every event as she prepares for her third Olympics, which is less than a year away. After rigorously committing to the sport at the onset of summer after her wedding, her return to the mats last month saw a historic ascend. Two years after her “twisties” episode at the Tokyo Olympics, Biles’s stumbling fright recurred on the first day of the US Gymnastics World selection camp, but this time she got up with a smile on her face.

Simone Biles continued to perform her signature Yurchenko double pike on day-1 of the event. The all-around event may have wrapped in an adrenaline rush, but the reigning legend refused to give up her title.

Oldest victor in the US Gymnastics team this year, Biles took home the eighth all-around title with additional prospects to add YPD as her fifth-named move. The gymnast has been bent over capturing any honors that come her way since she got back from her Olympic withdrawal. The 2023 Worlds selection qualifier Day 1 was no different. She secured yet another all-around this evening, as per MyGymusa.com.

Here’s how the fresh scores came in for Biles: After facing a fall in rotation-1, she performed it again cleanly, getting 12.800 in uneven bars. She performed a decent triple wolf turn with a faultless side aerial to get a 14.450 on the balance beam.

Taking a 14.300 while facing a little wobbly throughout the Double Wolf turn with a somewhat clean routine. She added an over-rotation to the YDP charge and missed it badly before getting back up smiling and finishing the day with a 14.550 on the vault.

Similar to her mats actions, the rankings dropped to the lowest after half apparatus total when Shilese Jones tied at the top with LSU gymnast Kaliya Lincoln. This year’s vault champion ?Zoe Miller came third with 27.400 after which stood Biles with 26.850. Upsetting the fans, she bounced back to the third spot in the third quarter after Miller lost her podium standing. In the end, Biles finished with her season’s lowest ?55.700 securing a spot on the Worlds team.
