Simone Biles maintains a strong presence in the ongoing championship. Meanwhile, Shilese Jones, the 2022 world silver medallist, returns after a 10-month hiatus due to shoulder and ankle concerns. Surprisingly, Jones appeared far from a competitor preparing for her first appearance in 10 months during official practice at the 2023 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in San Jose, California on August 24, 2023.

Nonetheless, a legend’s prowess prevails, as the 7-time Olympic medalist Biles conquered challenges at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, cementing her place at the pinnacle of women’s senior gymnastics. With this feat, the Gymnastics GOAT takes another stride towards etching her name in history.

Simone Biles is igniting the world with her exceptional achievements. A viral Twitter post underscores how imminent her historic moment is. At the U.S. Nationals in San Jose, Simone Biles reigns supreme in the all-around, her lead insurmountable with a single event remaining.

Leaving Shi Jones behind, Biles dominates with a Vault score of 15.700, Beam at 14.450, and Floor Exercise reaching 14.800, culminating in an all-around score of 44.950. The gymnastics prodigy stands on the brink of breaking a 90-year-old record at the U.S. National Gymnastics Championships, held by the late-great Alfred Jochim. This feat would solidify her as the first person to secure eight national all-around titles, surpassing the shared record of seven.
