USA Gymnastics has officially chosen its candidates for the US World Team and the US Pan American Team. Simone Biles had already made it to the World Team owing to her staunch performance on day 1. The deserving gymnasts fought through fierce competition and made it to the top. However, gymnastics stars including Olympian Jordan Chiles and Zoe Miller made it to the list of the Pan Am team.

The US World Team Selection Camp proved to be the hardest obstacle for all gymnasts. The brilliant performers of the US Classic and Xfinity US Championships also had a hard time at the camp.?

Gymnastics stars beat rivals from powerhouse USA

The Pan-American Team was dominated by the ones who successfully clinched the spot on day 1. The gymnastics stars ranging from six to ten successfully anchored their feet and didn?t allow their spots to be snatched. Kayla DiCello, Jordan Chiles, Kaliya Lincoln, Zoe Miller, and Tiana Sumanasekera secured their berth in the Pan Am Team after a fierce struggle.

The gymnastics stars had to bear the brunt of going against other elite gymnasts of their powerhouse nation. However, they pulled through the cut-throat contest and solidified their spots, and now look forward to the Pan American competition. While Jordan Chiles fans are happy that she made it to the Pan Am team, they also stand in disbelief as she couldn’t qualify for the worlds.

From 2022 to 2023: Enter Biles, Exit Chiles

Compared to the world team in 2022, the only difference this year is the absence of Jordan Chiles. Every gymnastics fan in the US clamored about the absence of their champion, Simone Biles, from the 2022 team. However, fans also wondered who Biles would eventually replace when she?d return in 2023. Fans acknowledge the greatness of every gymnast on the 2022 World team, however, the disappearance of Chiles has shocked everyone. Jordan Chiles bagged one gold and two silver medals at the 2022 world championships and is also an Olympian. Despite this, fans will look forward to her performance at the Pan Am games, while enjoying a long-awaited return of Biles.

This is the sixth time Simone Biles earned herself a spot in the World Team of USA. This is an unprecedented achievement as Biles has now bagged the highest number of selections for the world team in the US. Biles claimed the top spot on day 1 after a fierce battle with Shilese Jones and Skye Blakely. Jones and Blakely had come too close to comfort for Biles and even surpassed her. However, Biles shifted her gears and walked away with the top spot and overtook them with grace and finesse. While Biles has made it back to the world team, will she be able to go all the way and claim her sixth all-around gold?
