Missouri-born Angie rose to prominence in 2018 when she won the women’s 200m dash at the NCAA Division I Championships. In contrast, her rumored boyfriend Josephus stormed to win the 4×400 m relay gold at the 2014 Junior World Championship in Eugene.
Angie qualified to represent the U.S. at the Doha World Athletics Championships by placing third in the 200 meters at the 2019 U.S. Championships. In the Doha final she finished fourth. Interestingly, on the same Worlds tracks Lyles took home a gold in the 200 m and the 4 x 100 m relay.
A deeper examination of their track multiverse gives some additional information: Recall how Sha’Carri Richardson broke the 100-meter and 200-meter world under-20 records in the NCAA Championships in Austin in 2019.
Then 200m reigning champion Angie won over Richardson in the 200 meter final finishing fourth. Fast forward to now, Richardson and Noah were scurrying towards the finish line. Although a lot has changed over the years, there is one off-track feat that both Lyles’ siblings share.
