The LSU gymnastics saw the beginning of the season on Jan 5th against Ohio State. Following hours of practice and a determined mind, the Tigers went on to clinch a win for the season-opening and remarkable start. Olivia Dunne, carrying the elation of the results and relief of hours of rush, got home to share love and a little guilt joy.

Snapchat has been a platform for candid moments for Olivia. The social media sensation has presented doting glimpses of everyday proceedings to include gymnastics, friends, family, Paul, and of course Baby Roux. As the first meet of 2024 marked a beginning on Jan 5th, the pattern carried the equaling candidness. However, from the day’s beginning to the post-meet scenes, Baby Roux’s appearance captured the audience’s attention. “Post meet kisses,” Livvy wrote sharing an adorable picture of the gymnast pulling the little fur baby for a hug and some kisses.
The little meet-up following Olivia Dunne’s hectic schedule was done with a quick run for some fast food. “Post meet fries for the W,” Livvy wrote as she posted a mouth-watering click of fries covered in cheese and bacon for celebrations. The gymnast rightly cherished the moment with some company over marking the needed beginning for the LSU Tigers.

The Tigers mark a right start
“I’m happy with the start. It was solid… I’m proud of the way we fought,” were head coach Jay Clark’s words as the Tigers took home the win for the night. The team put up 196.975-196.775 for the season beginning, marking the right confidence. Haleigh Bryant, whom Olivia Dunne remarked ‘a 10’ in her Snapchat stories triumphed over vault and all-around titles for the night.

As for Olivia Dunne, the senior year gymnast recorded 9.875 on the floor in her first appearance since 2022. Livvy’s contribution alongside the rest on the floor helped the team win over Ohio in the apparatus. However, that wasn’t all for the team to garner a boost over. Their next stop at Utah for the first-ever annual ESPN Invitational was equally well landed. With 197.000, LSU positioned second itself second against Utah and UCLA. The team however only fell short to Oklahoma with a difference of .900. Tigers will hope for a continued momentum as they take on Kentucky next at home.
