The NCAA season might be in full swing, but Olivia Dunne’s social media hasn’t slipped up! May it be TikTok videos right before the ban or making reels to keep up brand deals, Dunne is ten toes in! She does, after all, have a $4.2 million NIL valuation for a reason. However, the competition has heated up, and the rankings might have just fallen!

In December of 2024, Dunne was ranked at #2. However, as the season progressed, she catapulted to #6. Despite the fall, she still has brands like Vuori, American Eagle, Nautica, and Body Armour under her belt. And let’s not forget that one of her main partnerships that started in 2023 remains untouched! The partnership with Accelerator Active Energy. In fact, the rankings do not seem to bother Dunne or Accelerator!

With slipping ranks and the NCAA gymnastics season being in full swing, one would imagine Olivia Dunne to be careful. However, she seems to enjoy taking the bold route! And her latest promotional reel with Accelerator Active Energy is a prime example of the same! Olivia’s latest reel isn’t just any ordinary promo; it is one that calls out pretty much every other popular energy drink. So what did Dunne have to say?

The reel begins with Travis Kelce, the American footballer and tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, introducing a game. In Kelce’s words, “Ladies and gentlemen, my friend Livvy Dunne here is going to help us decide which energy drinks go in the cart and which ones go out.” Dunne, taking no prisoners, starts off with the big names! Up first, Kelce picks up Monster. “Oh! This one is full of sugar,” responds Dunne. Red Bull? “This one has no natural caffeine.” Then comes a can of Alani Nu.

To which Dunne says, “Artificial preservatives? Don’t want that.” After the three had gone out of the cart comes the rather controversial take on yet another popular energy drink! Kelce goes on to pick up a can of Celsius. Olivia Dunne has something interesting to say here! “This one has guarana in it. It’s a substance banned by the NCAA.” Oops! So what is guarana? Guarana is a prohibited source of caffeine by the NCAA as per the 2023-2024 prohibited substances list. Why is that?

What’s your perspective on:

Is Olivia Dunne's energy drink takedown a bold move or a risky gamble for her brand?

Have an interesting take?

Well, it is said to be a stimulant that gives athletes an unfair advantage. So of course, in the video, Kelce decides to put Celsius out of the cart. Since the reel is after all a brand deal, Travis Kelce then picks up a can of Accelerator Active Energy. And of course, Dunne was all praises about it. “Now we’re talking! This tastes amazing!” she adds. This is a deal that Dunne cannot afford to mess up. They were the ones to back her Livvy Fund! Remember that?

The partnership that brought Livvy Fund to life

It is not just gratitude and promotional reels for Accelerator Active Energy. There’s some history to the gratitude and bold takes! In July of 2023, Dunne launched the Livvy Fund, a passion project that is backed by Accelerator Active Energy and Bayou Traditions. So what exactly is this project? Well, it empowers female college athletes at LSU with NIL opportunities.

In other words, Dunne made getting the well-deserved slice of the NIL pie a little easier and a whole lot more accessible. Through this collaboration, multiple LSU gymnasts, including Ashley Cowan, Jillian Hoffman, Konnor McClain, and more, have gotten their share of the pie.

And as Dunne sees it, “I just wanted to help other women and give them opportunities to learn and have more NIL deals because they deserve it just as much as I do.” So of course, it should come as no surprise that Olivia Dunne has only good things to say about the brand. But with falling ranks and the NCAA season in full swing, was the new promo reel the right decision? Well, as always, time will surely give the answers!
