No matter what her stance is on her gymnastics career, Simone Biles is influencing Jonathan Owens. It’s safe to say, these two are motivating each other to be the best. The basis of those claims was his performance against the Los Angeles Chargers. Significantly, Owens received his first career interception in the NFL after he charged down a pass.

Opposition team quarterback Justin Herbert hoped to find his man in the deep but only for Owens to grab a sensational interception. The whole stadium rocked to his runes with Biles visibly pumped up!
Simone Biles loved the interception
Due to Covid-19 protocols, Owens got his opportunity to play for the Texans as he made his first career start. Both Biles and Owens posts videos on their incredible workouts as it was only a matter of time that he exploded into the scene. Just before the half-time whistle, Owens picked up the interception that sent Biles into a frenzy. She posted a video of her celebration on Instagram with the caption- ‘BIG MOOD’. An entertained Biles looked thrilled with her man’s performance.

Moreover, she retweeted the video of his play on Twitter that received great reviews. She captioned it ‘LFG!!!!!!! #36’. What’s more impressive would be the fact that the commentator sprinkled in a few thoughts on Biles when Owens made the play.
“And you know his girlfriend is going to love that. Four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, she’ll be celebrating her boyfriend’s first NFL INT.”

The power couple

The couple started dating back in August 2020 as they moved in together. Hence, their careers are going on a different trajectory. With nothing to prove, Biles is taking a break from gymnastics as she looks to return soon. Owens, meanwhile, is showing promise while becoming the player, they dubbed him to be. The safety went undrafted back in 2018 and joined the Arizona Cardinals. But, with niggling injuries, he lost his place with the team.

The Texans signed him up to give him a chance to showcase his talents. He has taken it with both hands, performing especially well. He now has 14 tackles this season followed by one interception and a recovery. Safe to say, Biles is getting him motivated. Credits where it’s due, Owens can take his game to the next level.
