The legendary gymnast, Simone Biles and the NFL star, Jonathan Owens probably share one of the most coveted relationships amongst the power couples. While Owens goes all in for the Green Bay Packers, Simone Biles shines through her presence on the gymnastics team. The two celebrated athletes have each established their stand in their respective fields. However, their work often keeps them apart; more recently, the 2023 Worlds and the NFL matches.

On the 30th of September, the 2023 World Gymnastics Championship marked its beginning for the year. The event calling for the best in the field also invited Simone Biles and the team. As the gymnast headed for the notable event, Owens’s requirements for the NFL held him back in the States. Thus when the 26-year-old icon shared an appreciation post for her team at the Worlds, her husband couldn’t help but express his pride for the reigning champion in comments; sending the fans astir.

Simone Biles shares appreciation for Team USA

Biles took to Instagram to celebrate the strength and the girth, the team endured during the course of the competition. The post shared by her included warming pictures of the group celebrating together on the field. The series also showcased the icon’s camaraderie with the French Gymnast, Melanie Johanna de Jesus dos Santos, and her coach Cecile Canqueteau-Landi. Happy for the team, Biles wrote an appreciative caption. “Team finals it was an interesting & unexpected night! I’m so proud of the fight Team USA put out 🇺🇸 It’s such a blessing to represent the US at another World Championships!” 

The highlight of the post however was the one by the NFL star, Jonathan Owens. The couple ever since the beginning of their married life have been dealing with long-distance. Nonetheless, the factors don’t seem to have affected either of the two. As the circumstances oblige the two once again to stand afar, Jonathan has chimed in to send his support across the continents. Commenting under the post, Owens wrote, “SO PROUD  Love being able to watch you do your thing.” Despite their tiring distance, their continued support of each other has been the charm of the relationship; even with the littlest of moments mentioned.

Simone and Jonathan go an extra mile for each other

The two dominant athletes have been the victims of the long-distance relationships since the very beginning. But growing through the presented and unavoidable gap, Simone and Jonathan have showcased their love and support for each other with every chance they have gotten. 

With a few days left to the World Gymnastics Championship, Simone fell prey to the negative response surfacing the internet over a remark made by one of the fans. While Simone remained unprovoked, Jonathan was quick to jump in defense of the celebrated gymnast; addressing the claims. Tweeting on the matter, Jonathan said, “why would you try to make her look like that, she’s sweetest person in the world.” 

However, it isn’t just Simone on the receiving end. The Green Bay Packers player is often known to be occupied with his matches. The clashing schedules of the two forces the two to travel longer distances for each other. Simone reminiscing on the matter, once revealed that it was harder to get to Green Bay since there were no direct flights. But to no one’s surprise, Simone is always present on the field cheering for Jonathan. While the two might not be living in idealist of situations, they have mastered the skill to keep up with each other and their sports.
