The NFL divisional round on the 21st of January greeted the Green Bay Packers to a season end. As the San Fransico 49ers recorded 24 against the Packers, it marked a well-trodden season end to the men in Green and Yellow. In the process of it, Jonathan Owens etched the first season end with the franchise owning to year of new beginnings, career firsts, controversies, and undying signs of love from Simone Biles.

Jonathan Owens may have wound up in heat with Simone Biles’ fans over his “being the catch” remark during one interview, but the Packers’ safety ensured to stay sturdy on the ground. Walking well through the chaos of it all, Owens today reveals what essence sparked his sportsmanship through the journey.

Jonathan Owens stresses attitude and effort

The sports drink brand GoodSport recently took to Instagram to share a Jonathan Owens, “breaking down what it means to be a good sport on and off the field.” The Green Bay Packers’ rising talent shared insights on embracing the role of a team player and a personality of optimism. “Being a good sport to me means, basically being a great teammate, always having a positive attitude, give great effort,” he says. Moreover, Owens’ thoughts extended to include a personality off the grounds.

A personality that exuded energy and allowed a sense of comfort to surround the people around him. “Playing the game the right way, listening to your coaches… being someone everyone loves to be around,” Owens further adds, and Simone Biles’ persistent support seconds. Starting at a new team for the 2023 season, Jonathan Owens surely abided as he took to a player panel with a successful run.

A good season, says Simone Biles

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, if Jonathan Owens had one constant on the stands, it was Simone Biles. Living her off-season post 2023 Worlds, the gymnast ensured to cheer on and celebrate Owens with every step.THATS MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MANS MY MANS MY MANSSSSS LFGGGGGGOOOOOOO!” Biles had written as JO scored his first touchdown off a fumble recovery.

The season marked 2 consecutive years of playing an entire regular season for Owens, who joined the Packers in early 2023. Furthermore, it was the first time since his rookie days at Houston Texans that the 28-year-old made it to playoffs. In the midst of it, Owens also shared a player panel with team greats at the A&A All the Way Foundation gala event. “What a season,” Simone Biles wrote by the last match, holding onto Owens’ hands through and beyond.
