Ever since Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles tied the knot in April last year, the couple have maintained a long-distance marriage. And while Mr. and Mrs. Owens have taken every opportunity to link up, they’ve been busy with their career in the meantime. Just as the Olympian celebrated Simone Biles Rising winning the Critics Choice Award for Best Sports Documentary, her husband embarked on a noble task.

The Chicago Bears safety uploaded a series of Instagram stories chronicling the 2024 Thanksgiving Holiday Drive. The NFL star partnered with the K.W.O.E Foundation to serve families in Chicago during the Holidays. The 2024 edition marked the third year of Owen’s annual tradition of giving back during the holiday season. In fact, the NFL star ensured his presence during the drive.

Jonathan Owens signed autographs of young fans and even delivered the gifts alongside volunteers and fellow organizers. The grand drive happened at BBF Center For The Arts and the Chicago Bears star announced the event on November 2 Instagram. “Meals will be first come, first served!!” wrote the athlete and revealed he’ll be giving 500 families free turkeys and non-perishables.

To say Owens’ mission to give back to the community was a success would be an understatement. “500 families in under an hour,” posted a volunteer for the Thanksgiving drive. The St. Louis, Missouri native shared the story with the caption, “Was an amazing turnout.” Simone Biles’ and the volunteers even stopped buses to hand out gifts and free food.

“It’s always a blessing to be able to give back and support families in the community, especially during the holidays. I’m so excited to meet everyone and see the smiles on their faces,” Owens wrote in his original announcement. It is safe to say his Jonathan Owens’ efforts didn’t go in vain, and he even posted pictures with the crew that helped him pull off the charity event. Meanwhile, despite their packed schedule, Owens and Biles haven’t missed a single opportunity to unite.

Whether it’s amidst giving back to the community or training for the NFL season, Owens has always supported his wife. Despite a trip to France hampering his training sessions with Chicago, Owens flew to Paris to support the Olympic medalist. With former Houston Texans star cheering from the stands, Biles put the cherry on top of her ‘redemption tour’, winning three Olympic golds.

After the Olympics when the NFL season got into full swing. However, Biles reciprocated by showing up for a Chicago Bears game amidst the Gold Over America Tour. The GOAT cheered for her husband, dressed in Chicago’s colors, as the safety helped the Bears defeat the Rams 24-18. On the same day, Jonathan Owens spent his time after the match watching Biles perform on the GOAT stage.

Even after the tour concluded, Mr. and Mrs. Owens continued to meet. The 27-year-old uploaded a story from their most recent romantic, “d8 nite.” Simone Biles uploaded a picture of an NFL star and hid his eyes with a playful “For Cupid’s eyes ONLY.” sticker. These are just some of the many other meetings the couple have enjoyed while taking nothing away from their hectic schedules. And while the seven-time Olympic gold medalist could be part of Owens’ Thanksgiving Drive, she’s surely proud of his noble act.
