The holiday season is about to kick off in style, but this time for Simone Biles, it will be Christmas without her husband, Jonathan Owens. This will surely be a difficult one for the power couple, but it’s not the first time they have managed their relationship due to their sports careers, which have kept them apart in different scenarios. The gymnast would be busy out there too, as amidst this festivity, she has collaborated with her local store to give gifts to her local community, especially the youth.
The DICK’S Sporting Goods stores all over Texas are running a campaign where they have selected athletes from different cities of the state to collaborate during this holiday season. And as Biles hails from Houston, she is indulged in this activity while trying to earn the title of DICK’S Holiday Decorating Officer.

Surely not having the presence of her husband during the holidays wouldn’t feel that great to the gymnast, but she has her own things to look forward to during the chilly winters. The Chicago Bears will be having a game against the Seattle Seahawks on December 26, and as the football safety will be attending the training session with his team, he will miss out on the occasion. However, Biles isn’t letting the long distance ruin her festive mood, and at the right time, the DICK’S Sporting Goods store in Houston has chosen the Olympian for their campaign. So what will be the role of the American gymnast in this?
She will be given the opportunity to decorate the store in her city, which she did, as per the report by Street Insider. She was given the chance to be creative, and Biles didn’t hesitate a bit. As seen from the glimpses of the YouTube video, the gymnast made a small decoration and posed in front of the four pine trees that had a Christmas look to them. Furthermore, there were two golden-coated goats wearing gold medals, representing her status in her sport. And what’s Christmas without gifts? There were many of them in the background, as eventually, the locals would receive a lot of them during the occasion.
According to the campaign, Biles will also receive a $100,000 Sports Matter grant from DICK’S Sporting Goods and The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation. With this money, the gymnast will be donating it to the local sporting organizations that support young athletes in Houston, showcasing a kind act on the occasion of Christmas. However, she isn’t the only American athlete participating in this campaign.

Texas Longhorns’ Quinn Ewers, Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, and San Antonio Spurs’ Chris Paul will be joining the Olympian in the pursuit of becoming the DICK’S Holiday Decorating Officer. Four cities in Texas would be hosting this title fight, and whoever decorates the store best would become the title winner. The local residents in these cities can also visit the store in person and be a part of the campaign. The decorations will also be present until the final day of the year.

This is an exciting challenge for Biles, as it is something she has been missing after a fabulous Olympic campaign. This is not the first time the gymnast has done something special for her fans at Christmas; last year, she engaged in an epic collaboration with GK Elite.

The sports world saw an epic comeback of Simone Biles, and she was back on her road to dominance. However, her epic performances also came with many brand collaborations, and on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, the gymnast served as a fashion star, showcasing her leotards and garnering a lot of appreciation from her beloved fanbase.
“I can’t believe my last @gkelite collection of the year is already here! I’ve been waiting all year for this one to drop, and now it is finally yours!” Biles wrote in the sponsored Instagram post that had two intriguing pictures. The first leotard had a cutout back with twists connecting it, and it had this eye-catching blue-and-white color combination. However, the next leotard was elegant as it featured a golden-black color scheme with semi-circle cursive printed “Simone” above the GK logo. The brand and the athlete have a contract as they both are keen on the promotion of the sport, and the collaboration between the two is very frequent.
