Home/Gymnastics

After decimating the opponents for almost an entire season, for Olivia Dunne and her Tiger Nation colleagues, now it’s time to move ahead. In that process, their duty will be to climb up the ladder to reach the NCAA gymnastics championship. The Bud Walton Arena in Arkansas holds the starting route for it. So, yesterday, the LSU Tigers had to take a flight to the region where they once received a phenomenal victory against the Razorbacks this season. Meanwhile, Olivia Dunne did not burden herself with thinking about all these professional factors.

Rather, the 21-year-old gymnast felt emotionally heavy to bid her goodbye before flying to Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her fans on social media witnessed the entire emotional journey of Livvy that she covered yesterday.

Olivia Dunne’s latest Snapchat posts displayed the multiple shades of her shared moments among the close ones before catching the flight. As the posts showcased, the day ultimately proceeded with her daily routines. But in the meantime, she enjoyed her drive with mom, Katherine, and furry baby Roux, who remained with Livvy on several shared snaps. However, the emotions brewed when she captioned one snap of Roux, writing “I am going to miss you[emoji]”. Soon, she joined the Tigers to fly off.

In the subsequent snap, the rotating blades of the flight made an entry, with the caption, “see u soon fayetteville”. However, before leaving for the NCAA engagement, Livvy spent a memorable moment with sister, Julz Dunne. The occasion was a sumptuous dinner outing as the caption narrated, “@julzdunne dinna date”. The moment became more special when Roux accompanied her to the Tigers’ hall room. Before delving into thinking about the national championship, the second-seeded team wasn’t too worried about having a fun-filled time. But from the coming day onwards, the title-earning will hold an unparalleled meaning.

The quest for the conclusive national laurel

Last time, Olivia Dunne and her gymnastics compatriots in purple leotards ended in fourth place in the NCAA Championship final. That time as well, the Oklahoma Sooners remained at the top. So, this season, the squad is not compromising with any loose end en route to the coveted title. A few weeks back, Olivia Dunne mentioned the mindset in a univocal tone.

In her confession, the former national champion added, “It would mean the world to this team and this university. It’s an unprecedented area for LSU gym to win a national championship.” Moreover, the LSU Tigers squad has gathered further motivation from their latest victory in the SEC Championships. So, Livvy and her squad members are eagerly waiting for April 4, when they will face Minnesota, Oregon St., and Boise St. If they win that battle, their next goal will be to claim the Regional final. So, it would be a long hasty road for Olivia Dunne and others from now on.
