The LSU Gymnastics team continues lending its Midas touch with an astounding winning streak throughout the NCAA season. After captivating fans’ attentions in the showdown against Florida, posting the season-highest road score of 197.950, LSU Tigers have now delighted the gymnastics world, posting a splendid triumph against the Alabama Crimson Tide women’s gymnastics team.

With the team’s collective efforts and exceptional gymnastics skills, the LSU Gymnastics team earned the highest score in a dual meet over Alabama. It was 198.325 respectively. LSU gymnast Haleigh Bryant is one of them who took the spotlight during the impressive showdown in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, leading the squad with her spectacular performance as the standout performer. Post the match, Tigers’ Head Coach Jay Clark reflected on Haleigh’s gymnastics prowess.

LSU all-around senior Haleigh Bryant dazzled with her impressive gymnastics skills in the Friday showdown in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, posting a season-high 39.850 score. Post the magnificent victory over Alabama, LSU HC, Clark applauded Bryant’s ability as she executed a perfect 10 again and continued adding the same score on the floor. “I wouldn’t say boring for you, but repetitive. No, it’s comfortable. I wouldn’t say boring. I never get tired of watching her but it’s comfortable,” Clark added.

Besides that, LSU HC also admired her exceptional quality, mentioning further “It’s a reassuring place for all of us when we know that we have that kind of quality at the back and running. It’s not just Haley. I mean, there’s so many. You saw people step up tonight, Tori on bars. I mean, it’s a complete team, and as long as their heads stay where they need to. Look, I mean, I can sit up here and sing praises of Haley all night and we do that every week and I want her to get those accolades, but I don’t know what else to say. It’s just comfortable.”

Apart from that, Clark also remarked about the expectations brought by Bryant with her notable performance by mentioning, She is human and it’s possible for her to make a mistake. She just doesn’t let us see that very often.” How did she fare, though?

Apart from improving their NQS ranking with a 198+ score, the triumph also signifies the Tiger’s third consecutive victory against Alabama during the regular season and it also marks the eighth-ranked win of the year. During the ongoing NCAA gymnastic season, Haleigh Bryant emerged as the top performer, posting a season-high score of 39.850 in the all-around to finish in the showdown against No. 9 Alabama. Despite that, the senior also won the meet’s vault, bars, and floor titles, raising her career total to 79.

Currently, Bryant holds twenty-three titles on the vault, which are supremely impressive. She holds thirty titles on the year as well and  also holds the distinction of being tied with April Burkholder for second place in school history.

LSU will face off against Auburn, George Washington, and Texas Woman’s on Friday, March 8  in the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
