The Stanford Cardinals have had a pretty neat run this season. Taking down some of the biggest Pac-12 powerhouses and NCAA gymnastics teams along the way, the Stanford team is sitting comfortably with an 8-1 overall record. Their win in the quad meet against Nebraska, the Air Force, and California earlier this month has given an extra boost to the engines for the Cardinals and they’re fixated on retaining their momentum.

Only last weekend, Stanford met with the Air Force gymnastics team once again on the road, where they bagged another resounding victory. And now, the Cardinals are once again eyeing another win on home soil later this week. With the NCAA Championships around the corner, the newly-inducted ACC squad will look to kick off their latest adventure in style.

A recent Instagram post by the official Stanford Men’s Gymnastics account shared details of their upcoming clash against the two NCAA heavyweights. “𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆,” reads the caption of the post as the accompanying image shows a livid Asher Hong, highlighting the mentality with which the Cardinals gymnastics team will be stepping into the match.

Along with that, the post also requested the fans to flock to the venue to make sure their team has all the support they need for the monumental task ahead. “Be ready to pack Burnham this weekend as we welcome top-ranked Oklahoma and #8 Cal to The Farm for Senior Night!” beckoned the post.

Stanford will host No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 8 California on 16 March at The Farm for the Senior Night meet. The three-way match will commence at 4:00 pm PT. Over the years, the Cardinals have met Oklahoma several times, and while their first match saw Stanford losing to the Sooners, they have been able to turn things around in recent years. On the other hand, the Golden Bears’ NCAA gymnastics season hasn’t seen them at their best with a 1-4 overall record, having already been defeated by Stanford thrice this season.
