Despite showcasing stellar performances on the uneven bars, Alabama faced a tough challenge in the face of their rival, the Tigers, at their last match. Boating one of the best rotations in the country at the National Qualification with a score of 49.53, they couldn’t perform in the same way and came off with a score of 49.2.

In the match against No. 2 LSU, they showed their floor exercise, and the standout performance was delivered by Waligro, Blanco, and Lily Hudson, each scoring near 9.875 and cumulating a total score of 49.9. Despite the razor-thin setback, they managed to improve their national qualification with a score of 197.125 to 197.325, determining their eligibility for the NCAA tournament.

The teams’ performance at the SEC Championship was highlighted by the display of a standout routine on the balance beam by Luisa Blanco, who scored 9.950. Their exceptional performances included floor exercise, vaulting, and an uneven bar. Freshman Gabby Gladieux also made an impactful entry by clinching the SEC titles on the vault. Even after facing formidable competition, Alabama emerged with victory in their hands over several top-ranked teams. Currently, the No. 9 Alabama team has also secured six NCAA championships.
