The 2023 World all-around bronze medalist, Fred Richard playfully highlighted just that with his latest update from the gym.

In his Sophomore year at Michigan, 19-year-old Fred Richard is onto having a riveting gymnastics career. His 2-medal victory at the 2023 Worlds and constant social media updates support the stance. Today as he and a fellow Michigan gymnast, took to Instagram for an update, their skills proved quite a highlight of the excellence; leaving spectators in a thought.

Fred Richard and Robert Noll, both Sophomores at Michigan University, often share combined practice sessions for people online. Bottle flip-led push-ups, back flip burpees, and now a mix of elements have provided a fun watch for the spectators. However, the latest one pulled more engagement with flawless execution in place. “Can u guess which is in reverse,” the Richards wrote sharing a video of the two performing various stunts. Richard and Noll, both have made it to the 2024 NCAA gymnastics roster for Michigan. With the update, the two only stood to back the results. Following the flawless performance, fans expressed confusion and sparked debate over the right answer.

Spectators chime in to lend opinions

For the post put forth, it would take no less of a keen gymnastics eye to spot a difference. Hence, through speculations, observations, and possible awareness, fans filled the comments with their answers. “The correct answer is 3, just by the way he is leaning into the cross you can tell it’s in reverse,” one wrote with confidence. While the majority filled the section with ‘2,’ another backed the initial comment. “My bets on 3 with the whacky muscle movements.”

One of them, confused about the moments, wrote, “I’m torn between 2 and 3,” and hundreds agreed. Amongst 2s and 3s, one added a quirky twist. “Plot twist: none of them lol,” they wrote. However, in what seemed like a well-thought-out observation, one of them interjected to put off the question. “So now I firmly believe it’s possible that the whole video is in reverse,” the comment initially read. But eventually went on to explain every detail of the stunts and the video. Despite the explanations, the answer still remains a mystery but not for long. “I’ll give the answer at 5k likes,” the gymnastics star wrote after posting and the community awaits.
