

The most decorated gymnast, Simone Biles, was born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio. Simone also has a little sister named Adria Biles, and she is the closest person she had in her difficult times. When they both were little, their mother became a drug addict, and they had to live in foster care. At such a tender age, the sisters stood with each other despite having difficult, patchy fights, and did not leave each other’s side.

Adira was just three years young than Simone and, being older, Simone was very protective of her. Simone’s protectiveness was a little hard for Adria, and she used to think of her as bossy. But things changed with time, and they grew close.
Simone Biles and Adria’s childhood fights
The two little sisters used to fight with each other. Then, growing up, they revealed how it was fun and difficult at the same time. In one episode of ‘Simone Vs. Herself’ about how she became this remarkably poised woman doing mind-blowing things due to her upbringing and the path she took to get there.

In the episode, Adria shares their childhood memories saying, “Me and Simone fought all the times I’d like pull her hair and then she would like ‘moooommmmmm’. She is my best friend”
Meanwhile, in the video, little Simone was jumping here and there. Adria and Simone were obliged to spend their early years in foster care. But in 2003, she was formally adopted by their paternal grandfather Ronald Biles and his wife, Nellie Biles.

Simone and her sister were raised in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston. Biles began doing gymnastics in the junior division and kick-started her international career as a gymnast in 2013. She made her competitive debut in the FIG World Cup competition.

How Adria and Simone became close
Adria as a child struggled to understand Simone. But, as Simone started climbing her career ladder, Adria also understood her struggles. Simone wanted to protect her little sister, Adria, from the beginning. In one such episode of Facebook’s watch, ‘Who am I,’ Adria shares her feelings for Simone.

Adria said, “Well, I thought growing up it was like oh my god she’s so bossy, but now I know it’s like she was trying to protect me.”

In the same video, Simone also shares why she wanted to protect Adria. Simone added, “I wanted to take care of Adria, obviously, because she was the baby. I just felt like I need to look out for her because if family doesn’t look out for you, who is going to?”
