Losing isn’t in Stephen Nedoroscik’s vocabulary. After ticking the Parisian goal off his list, Team USA’s pommel horse guy also proved himself by becoming the first male gymnast to waltz his way to the Dancing With The Stars finals. Notably, he has a great learning curve, that extends from gymnastic flips to dance footwork. However, his judgement faltered miserably when he attempted to recreate a viral trend recently.
As seen on their Instagram, Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold recently took up the ‘Friends‘ challenge. This popular social media trend involved muting the theme song from the iconic TV show, Friends. And attempting to nail the claps heard in the first few seconds of the tune. But, having fallen flat on his face, Stephen came up with an amusing reaction to why his timing was way off the mark, while Rylee’s was on point.

Taking to his Tik Tok, Nedoroscik added a video justifying why he clapped way too soon than the actual beat. He said, “Alright guys, y’all saw the video. Everyone’s saying my musicality is dead, everyone.” Nedoroscik had been way ahead of the music, while Rylee’s judgement of the beat was bang on perfect, and its natural for people to have assumed this was because she’s a trained professional dancer who has great sync with timing.
However, Stephen Nedoroscik pulled up a different justification for his wide off miss. He said, “What you guys don’t know is like I only heard this audio one time and in my head, I only heard the…I didn’t know there was two” he went on to explain how he mistook the initial music segment to be a single one, while it actually was double. Thus, his calculation of the clap part went down in flames.

Clearly, the loss did not settle well with the gymnast. This is why, to drive his point home, he edited out the ‘extra’ portion from the video and then played it. “We’re just gonna clip that part out, because that’s where I thought it actually started when we recorded this,” he said. And interestingly, after the changes, Stephen Nedoroscik’s clap fell exactly on the beat, causing him to jump up in joy and claim, “Guys, I was dead on everybody. I just didn’t know that section of music played twice.”

Nedoroscik further assured his fans, “Guys I promise my musicality is getting better.” On the other hand, looking at how he pulled out all stops, coming back with receipts, clips, and edits, Rylee Arnold had a three-word reaction. She commented on the video saying, “You are insane 😂😂😭😂.” Well, Nedoroscik wasn’t going to let that loss go, and he had to get the last word out. Thus, he went a little overboard with his explanation. But this is hardly the first time he’s mentioned something hilarious about Rylee.
Rylee Arnold isn’t afraid of getting into coach mode with Stephen
Speaking to Taylor Lautner and his wife on ‘The Squeeze’ recently, Stephen Nedoroscik presented a hilarious take on Rylee Arnold. When he got questioned on how partnering with her had been so far, his explanation was worth listening to. While the gymnast confessed how Rylee is an amazing person and that led to the two of them hitting it off as great friends, he also threw light on the fact that she does step into ‘coach mode’ at times.

Nedoroscik added, “She knows that sometimes it’s Drill Sergeant Rylee time. Like yesterday, I was not learning my step. For me, I’m just like, ‘Oh man, I feel bad because I’m wasting Rylee’s time.’ And in her head, she’s like, ‘We are so cooked!’” But, the dancing pro has her tricks in such cases. The 2x Olympic medalist adds, “And you know sometimes you need to take someone’s leg and place it here. ‘Dude, don’t forget this again. Or I’ll get mad.’”
We now know that Rylee Arnold can also be the strict taskmaster whenever necessary. But in any case, its thanks to her incredible guidance, that Stephen Nedoroscik and she have been able to sail through to the DWTS finals! PS: all we have for now is a little hint that they’ll be performing their redemption quickstep and freestyle act on the same theme song from the sitcom Friends. Well, if this is the case, are you excited for the same? Let us know below!
