Could Stephen and Rylee's chemistry on and off the dance floor lead them to victory?

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold are quickly becoming the fan favorites in this season’s Dancing with the Stars. Their energetic and enthralling performances have really captured the viewers’ hearts, some of whom have declared that they are only watching the show for the duo. This has also slowly made their stocks rise for their eventual victory.

However, other than the show, both Stephen and Rylee have also forged a great bond, as they refer to each other as star-crossed besties. This has made it easier for both of them to work together and choreograph dances for the show. But while Stephen has completely entered the dance world, Rylee Arnold has never done the opposite and tried gymnastics. Until now.

In an Instagram story, uploaded by Rylee Arnold, the ballroom dancer can be seen attempting to complete Stephen Nedoroscik’s famous Pommel horse. The move earned the gymnast a lot of accolades in Paris and helped him land in the limelight. This made Rylee attempt to complete the gymnastics move on the mat.

With loud cheers from Stephen at the back chanting, “Let’s Go Rylee!” the dancer started trying to attempt the move. She lifted her body up to the equipment and put one leg on the other side. However, she had to abort the move after that, as she was unable to perform the whole thing. But, it shouldn’t be much of a big deal, as pommel horse is very tough and a category only available in male gymnastics. This is because of the apparently upper body strength possessed by them.

Plus, it is not easy to dabble both into gymnastics and dancing. While the origins of both are similar, an individual has to work a lot to transition from one to the other. This makes what Stephen Nedoroscik has done even more special. The gymnast entered the show without any prior experience of dancing. But, within a few weeks, he has already shown that he’s a force to be reckoned with.

This has been possible solely because of his sheer hard work and dedication to win the show. There is a legitimate chance of him doing so too, considering the love he has garnered from the fans. All of this wouldn’t have come to fruition without his work ethic. The gymnast is also not there just to dance, as he has arrived with a mission to promote his own sport, which is dwindling in popularity.

Have an interesting take?

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold continued their incredible run of performances in the fourth week of Dancing with the Stars as the duo performed on Whitesnakes ‘Here I go again’. They incredibly impressed the judges with their performance and ended up scoring 32/40 in their scorecards, which was their highest ever. However, it seems that the most important performance is the one that the audience hasn’t witnessed yet.

It is the upcoming one in the fifth week. Before the performance, Stephen took to Instagram to talk about why the whole routine was special to him. It was dedicated to men’s gymnastics. He said, “This week, I’m dedicating my dance to men’s gymnastics,” he revealed. “It’s a dying sport in the United States, especially with the NCAA being our biggest funneling system into the Olympics.”

Thus, with his performance, Stephen Nedoroscik will try to bring attention to the sport, which has been dwindling for quite some time now. Right now is the best time to bring it some attention because of Stephen’s own exploits at the Olympics, where he helped his country win a medal after sixteen years. He feels that while the whole thing has taken his popularity to another level, hopefully he can take the sport to another level too.

The gymnast said, “We want to see this sport grow. We just got our first team medal in 16 years, which is extremely monumental to us. This is a time for men’s gymnastics to grow in the country again. I really want this dance to represent how much it means to me.” It will be interesting to see the outcome of the whole thing and witness the difference it will make or whether it will have any impact whatsoever. What do you think? Can Stephen Nedoroscik help increase the popularity of the sport?
