Simone Biles and her family have had many reasons to celebrate this year. From her wedding to the incredible victories at the Nationals and World Gymnastics Championships to the heartwarming celebration of Baby Biles turning one, 2023 was a massive year for the Biles clan. However, amid the joys, there have also been concerning health updates, especially from Simone Biles’ brother Ron Biles II and his little family.

Just recently, the family got together to celebrate Ronni Biles, aka Baby Biles’, 1st birthday, but before the celebration, Ronnie struggled with RSV. After the festivities and joy of the birthday celebration, Ron Biles II was also admitted for major surgery.

Sammi Biles, the sister-in-law of Simone Biles, recently took to Instagram stories to share a video from a hospital dated November 29, 2023, which was just four days after Baby Biles turned 1 on November 25. In the video, Ron Biles II, dressed in a blue hospital gown with the help of crutches, was surrounded by a supportive team of doctors and nurses as he courageously attempted to walk.

This major update came after Ron Biles II was admitted for hip replacement surgery. Sammi wrote in the story, “Learning how to re-walk for the 3rd time in his lifetime so far..not many wives can brag about that, @rbiles2.” The post also came with an Instagram “Add Yours” option where she encouraged more wives, saying, “No skipping showing off your partner.”

Ron Biles Jr’s health woes

Simone Biles’ brother, Ron Biles Jr., has been grappling with persistent hip issues. Back in September, Ron Jr. was admitted to the hospital when Simone was making history at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Ron suffers from avascular necrosis, so a hip replacement was needed for his left hip.

However, his right hip, too, was troublesome with extensive damage and needed surgery. Already undergoing a procedure called ‘Core Decompress’ for the right hip in April this year, his woes persisted. At the time, Ron Biles II shared, “I will not be able to walk on my leg for 6–8 weeks, on crutches, and using a wheelchair as well.”
