“It’s Too Late”: Simone Biles Approached a 20-Inch-Taller WWE Legend for a Special Favor for Her Ex-Boyfriend Despite His Disagreement

Simone Biles is renowned for her dominance in the world of gymnastics. Given her bold and significant personality, Simone Biles is the one fans look up to. However, she is known to not just be hardworking but a responsibility bearer as well.

Back in 2017, she was dating gymnast Stacey Ervin, who always wanted to switch to WWE. Biles being his partner, went ahead of her way and spoke to the WWE superstar Triple H aka Paul Levesque for him.

Simone Biles and Stacey Ervin were from the same background back in 2017. The gymnastics GOAT never hid anything from fans, and her relationship with Ervin was pretty evident. Even then, Biles was as upfront as she is now. In the same year, Biles announced their relationship via Instagram, sharing a picture of them together. Underneath the picture, she added a sweet caption that read, “always smiling with you.”

Ever since then, the couple never stopped taking steps for each other. When Ervin wanted a change in his career, Biles gave him a direct no initially. Later on, when she thought it over, she realized that it might actually be a good thing. 

In September 2017, Simone Biles visited New York for The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. There she found Paul Levesque, the WWE icon, with his wife Stephanie McMahon. The gymnast took an instant decision to approach Levesque regarding Ervin and his future in WWE. When Biles texted Ervin about the same he replied negatively, but by then she had already done what she had to.

“I’m like, it’s too late, Stacey, I’m already talking to them,” said the Olympic champion. “Then I started showing him pictures of Stacey. He said, well we have these open tryouts, here’s a card.”

Soon after that in February 2018, Ervin went for tryouts which weren’t as easy as it sounds. According to him, it is “an overall test of physicality and personality”. It did not take him much time to hit a milestone in an entirely new world after suddenly switching careers.

When Biles and Ervin broke up

After dating for 3 years, Biles and Ervin decided to part ways. The gymnastics legend confirmed their breakup in 2020. That happened when fans noticed that Ervin did not wish Biles on her birthday. 

“It’s hard being young and having that long of a relationship and then ending it,” said Biles. “But it was for the best.”

All in all, the former gymnast Stacey Ervin has successfully established himself in the WWE world. On the other hand, Biles became the face of gymnastics and never failed fans.
