Simone Biles is a name that changed the sports world forever. The fact that she is one of the most decorated Olympians of all time is just half the side of the coin. In an ever-changing game of gymnastics, Simone has been the only constant figure for half a decade. Seven Olympic medals, twenty-five world championship medals, and the title of the greatest gymnast ever. However, what truly defines Simone Biles is her larger-than-sports image and her attitude towards the game.
How did Simone change the gymnastics world forever?
It’s not just about medals and accomplishment. Her dominance over gymnastics comes from the fact that millions of people look up to her. She is one of very few athletes who became larger than the sport they played. Furthermore, it’s not easy to be in her shoes, and yet she carries herself like being Simone Biles is the easiest thing in the world.

The major turning point in Simone’s career came when she withdrew from the all-round event at Tokyo Games. For her decision, she received a great deal of criticism from the media as well as from sports fans. However, she chose what was best for her, irrespective of the fact that it might bring her negative attention. To have such courage is very rare, but the one who wields it is even rarer.
