Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have rapidly emerged as one of the biggest power couples in the sporting realm. And it has a lot to do with their unconditional support towards each other. While the duo has been going long-distance since their marriage, they always manage to squeeze out time for each other. Biles, in particular, had managed her schedules to catch Jonathan Owens live in action. She was a regular attendant at the NFL games when Owens played for the Green Bay Packers.
And now, when he has switched jerseys for the Chicago Bears, Biles can be seen celebrating even the smallest achievements of Owens. Surely, Owens does need a lot of support from his better half at the moment. After all, his team Chicago Bears are in a spot of significant bother. Putting on a sorry show, the Bears are languishing at the bottom of the table. Yet, Biles has not ceased her continued support. Now, there is an interesting reason behind Biles frequently turning up for Owens’ games. While love is definitely a part of the action, Owens’ superstition is also a major reason for the same!

In a recent exclusive with Olympics.com, Simone Biles delved into the topic of supporting her husband. The US gymnastics GOAT said that she felt extremely lucky to be able to stand beside her man. And more so because Owens believed that Biles was his good luck charm. Reflecting on the issue, the Olympic gold medalist said, “Oh, my gosh. It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games. For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that’s his pre-game routine. So he’s always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That’s just his superstition.”
Now, despite having Biles around, the NFL rules prohibit couples from sleeping together before the game day. While they sleep separately, the Chicago Bears’ safety has found a fix to ease his pre-match jitters. Before leaving for the match, Owens usually comes up to Biles and kisses her goodbye. Well, that is hands down the best way to calm the nerves of an athlete.
Meanwhile, Simone Biles is not the only one visiting games and cheering from the box. Jonathan Owens too, has done his bit of cheering ahead of the Paris Olympics. What’s more? He even resorted to some mischievous tactics in order to catch Biles live in Paris.
Jonathan Owens extended his unwavering support during Simone Biles’ Olympic run
Jonathan Owens has been taking a keen interest in gymnastics since the time he got married to Simone Biles. This is quite interesting as the NFL star had no idea of the sport when he initially met Biles from the dating app Raya. Now, things have gone so far that the 27-year-old legend herself admits that Owens has a deep understanding of the game. Thus, his love for the sport coupled with his attachment to Biles makes it unlikely that Owens would miss Biles’ events.

And quite likely, the Bears’ safety has attended almost all the major events of Simone Biles. In fact, Owens caught the fans by surprise when he started to take notes during the US trials and in Paris as he tallied them with the judges’ scores on the giant screen. Thus, it is quite understandable that the NFL star is quite obsessed with his wife. And the story just keeps getting interesting. In order to catch Biles living in Paris, Owens needed leaves from the Bears.
However, having joined the camp just recently, the NFL star felt shy about asking for leave. Instead, he immediately asked his manager to spread the word about the Olympics and Owens himself did the same. Luckily, he was not required to continue with his mischievous maneuvers for long. The Bears authority came to know about the situation and granted Jonathan Owens 5 days of leave! Thus, with stories of their incredible support surfacing often, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are setting quite a couple of goals for others to follow.
