The 2018 World gold medalist and the opener of her artistic gymnastics team faced a major setback due to her ankle injury.

After achieving multiple accolades for her prowess in the gymnastics world, Riley McCusker kept her fans updated on her recent injury. After sharing the upsetting news of her fluke ankle injury, the Six-time US National Team member took to her Instagram handle and shared a major update on the surgery that she underwent. Florida Gator gymnast Riley McCusker mentioned in a recent Instagram story  “Surgery done. Now time to recover (and study for finals).”

McCusker posted a picture of her injured leg on her IG story. Riley seems lying on the bed and elevating her foot on a pillow ardently. Her foot was plastered and bandaged. In the picture, crutches seem lying against a wall by the gymnast’s bedside. However, the reason for the serious injury of Florida Gator’s foot remained unrevealed. On 21 November, McCusker shared the heartbreaking news of her injury. Since then, the gymnast has been sharing detailed updates about her recovery process.

A bitter turn of Riley McCusker’s gymnastics career

A few days back, the 22-year-old Gator also shared an update regarding attending the upcoming events. Her post created furor before the 2024 Paris Olympics, as she posted an injured leg picture and captioned the post, “Bummer, too bad you all have to wait until next year to see this”.
