Remember when the Summer Games got its first all-black podium at the Bercy Arena? Jordan Chiles, Simone Biles, and Rebeca Andrade turned heads with their flawless routines on the mat.  The best friends were on a mission in the French capital—they wanted to climb their way to the top. They started their redemption tour with a bang. They nabbed the women’s team all-around finals gold. However, even though she got to stand on the last step of the podium, she couldn’t enjoy the joys of Olympic glory for too long.

The gymnast originally placed fifth toward the end of the night. But when her coach, Cecile Landi, appealed to have the score reevaluated, she was then pushed to third. Unfortunately, when the CAS looked at the case, they asked her to return the bronze to the rightful bronze medalist, Ana Barbosu. But since then, the gymnast has kept busy with the Gold Over America Tour and several appearances. At one such meeting, she pulled the curtains off her retirement plans. What could they be?

The Teen Vogue Summit took place on November 23, celebrating the brand and magazine’s 21 years in the industry. Among several attendees, Teen Vogue editors and keynote speakers, Jordan Chiles was at the Los Angeles event as well. While the gymnast looked back on her illustrious journey, she was asked if she looked forward to anything in the future. “Real estate is huge for me,” Jordan Chiles told Teen Vogue Associate Editor Aiyana Ishmael.

We bet you weren’t expecting that, were you? While many wouldn’t assume the 23-year-old would consider retirement so soon, it’s good to have a plan regardless. But why does she want to go down the real estate path? “I love building, I love being creative, and I love seeing things designed in different ways,” the Olympian confessed. She has often designed her own Leos previously. So, it’s not surprising that her passion for design played a pivotal role in making this choice.

However, Jordan Chiles reiterated that it’s more than being creative. Given that she already has an existing brand and platform, the team all-around gold medalist wanted people to look at her as more than an athlete. On the other hand, this interest plays into another desire the Olympian has. “I want to help my community. Where it’s through charity, a foundation, or giving back in other ways, that’s important to me,” she opined.

On November 22, the gymnast recently attended the fifth annual Black Entrepreneurs Day at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. When the host, Daymond John, asked her what financial freedom meant to her. She reiterated that she takes pride in being authentic and helping people, especially when she has previously worked for numerous charities. So, financial freedom for her is to give back in many ways. Regardless of whether it’s the hospitals or kids in need, she wants to help. If she needs any help in that department, the 23-year-old’s best friend will help her.

Simone Biles has dabbled in real estate

The G.O.A.T. dazzled the crowds at the Bercy Arena. But apart from dominating the Olympic mat, the gymnast shifted her focus to her dream house. The 27-year-old purchased a plot of land in early 2023 with her husband, Jonathan Owens. Since then, she has been sharing regular updates on the progress they’re making on the property.

Simone Biles has never shied away from sharing behind-the-scenes previews of the construction of their dream. The Olympian has played a pivotal role in curating the plan and construction of their new home. It is a waterfront abode, and work started back in August. While they have that going, they live in a $2 million home in Houston in the meantime.

In October, the gymnast uploaded several Instagram stories updating fans about the newest additions. The mansion had a few more additions, something they were proud of. She shared images of the swimming pool’s foundation and a near-complete kitchen. At this rate, the lovebirds might move into the house before Christmas. Isn’t that exciting?

Even though Jordan Chiles still has a while to go before she retires, she still looks forward to building a future in real estate. The 23-year-old could find a wealth of knowledge in her compatriot and best friend, Simone Biles, if and when she’s looking for any estate. The duo have trained since 2018, and both live in Texas.
