The LSU women’s gymnastics team is not here to play! The team stole hearts with their phenomenal performance at the NCAA last year and won the championship. Behind this spectacular victory lies an insane amount of hard work, discipline, and team chemistry. The team also seeks to repeat their win this NCAA season, and they also want to look their best while doing it. Enter the new “Wonder Woman” leotards. Honestly, we approve of this sartorial statement!
Olivia Dunne, Haleigh Bryant, Kailin Chio, and others were nothing less than a vision in their new garbs. Even before the Tigers faced the Gators, we luckily caught a glimpse of the leotard thanks to LSU gymnastics’ Instagram page. “Stepping out in our super suit tonight,” posted LSU gymnastics on their Instagram handle, just hours before the Tigers vs. Gators showdown at Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The poster girl for the dazzling new leotard was none other than Konnor McClain of the LSU Tigers. Konnor went ahead to secure a win for her team against the Gators later that day. She truly is a Wonder Woman, after all! “Kon took care of business,” posted LSU Gymnastics on Instagram. Well, we can always trust Konnor to take care of business in style. For all those who missed Konnor McClain during the Paris Olympics, her performance at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center was a glorious compensation.

Other LSU Tigers delivered jaw-dropping performances as well. From Aleah Finnegan’s spectacular vault to Haleigh Bryant’s balance beam magic, we are totally bowled over. At this rate, Olivia Dunne’s team may go on to secure an easy victory in this NCAA season as well. Although it is too early to make such claims, we would not be surprised if it were to happen.

Olivia Dunne and the LSU Tigers dress to win
This is far from being the first time that the LSU women’s gymnastics team has turned heads with their leotards. Although the Tigers are associated with the color purple for their winning NCAA performance in 2024, the team opted for a gorgeous white leotard. Posing in their brand-new leotards, Haleigh Bryant and Konnor McClain exuded confidence and grace. LSU Gymnastics shared an Instagram post with, “Dressed for the occasion.” Well, we have to agree with that!
Dressed in white, the Tigers claimed their very first NCAA Champion title later that day at Forth Worth, Texas. However, one merely notices the leotard when these girls perform. It was truly their hard work and discipline that paid off and secured their rise to the top in 2024. Everyone held their breath as Aleah Finnegan performed her winning routine at the championship final last year. An elated Aleah dedicated the routine to the LSU Tigers after the historic win.

In an ESPN interview following their win last year, Haleigh and Aleah are barely able to speak—they are giddy with joy! “We have all worked so hard this entire season, and I looked to them before I went, and I just…we wanted this so bad.” She later adds, “I wanted it for them, and that routine was for every single one of them and everybody in this room.” The enviable bond the LSU Tigers share was one of the reasons behind the 2024 win. Will Livvy Dunne’s team repeat history this year? Well, that is for us to wait and watch.
The LSU Tigers are already off to a great start this season. Although one of the team’s star gymnasts, Haleigh Bryant, had to give their maiden performance a miss earlier in January, the team lived up to its reputation, nonetheless. The team seems prepared to take every challenge head-on. We look forward to many more mind-blowing performances and also, leotards!
