Everyone has their own way of unwinding. And for Olivia Dunne, who lives and breathes social media, it is TikTok. Not so long ago, the LSU Tigers gymnastics team, of which Dunne is a part, ran into some major competition at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad Meet. The tigers had to face the Olympians returning, and that includes UCLA Bruins’ Jordan Chiles and Stanford’s Ana Barbosu. LSU ended the meet in second place. And Dunne?
Well, Dunne went on to score a 9.725 on bars, finishing third. However, that has not killed her spirits. Instead, it has put her in the mood for some lighthearted fun. In true Dunne style, she took to TikTok to do the viral “Kiss, Marry, Kill” challenge. And things got unexpectedly political and funny real quick. So what happened?
Olivia Dunne is no stranger to controversies. However, this time, the game dropped one on her. The game began and names started to pop up. Amongst the names were LeBron James, Serena Williams, Shane Gillis, Lizzo, Dr. Phil, and even herself! This was all before the last name popped up! The last name was none other than Donald Trump.

The next thing, Dunne quickly pulls a funny face and sends him straight to the “kill” category. However, what made the video funnier was that soon after the Trump name drop happened, Dunne abruptly ended the video. Trump has not come out with any responses just yet, and it is probably because he has the inauguration on his mind.
Notably, this is not the first time Dunne has made the headlines of her ‘Trump’ deeds. Earlier this month, before the Tigers beat Iowa State, the 22-year-old seemed to be getting the jitters ahead of her final season. Her tactic to calm herself down? A fun, little TikTok with teammate Kylie Coen where the duo performed the popular ‘Trump dance.’ For the unversed: The ‘Trump dance’ is a move by Donald Trump where he shuffles. He popularized the move during the latest presidential election.
And not just Dunne. Before her, the Las Vegas Raiders’ Brock Bowers, USMNT’s Christian Pulisic, the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive lineman Nick Bosa, and Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver Calvin Ridley, also celebrated on the field with the same moves. Well, Trump has made quite the impression it seems.
As for Dunne, it’s evident from her latest social media update that the star’s interest to the political figure is just limited to pulling off trends. Notably, the gymnast has never publicly proclaimed her allegiance to any political party or figure till date.

She’s leaving fans on a cliffhanger until the next post, that is. Amidst it all, she is also showing the world how to balance it all!
Olivia Dunne’s social media game is on 10 despite NCAA pressures!
Olivia Dunne might be at the peak of NCAA pressures on the mat. But like a true queen, her social game has a perfect score! May it be about posting about brand deals, aid prep season, or following it up with a New Year’s post in Leotard, it has consistently been on point. In fact, her New Year’s post caption was, “New Year, same goal.” Dunne is showing the world how a gymnast truly balances it all. However, the road ahead to meet that “goal” is not easy for her. On January 17, all eyes will be on Her again. LSU will be going up against the Florida Gators. And if history is any witness, the Florida Gators are sure to bring fierce competition to Baton Rouge. Soon after, on January 24, the Tigers will be going up against Arkansas and will follow it up with a matchup against Missouri. Looking at Dunne’s performance at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad Meet, she needs to buck up if she wants the top spot.
While Olivia Dunne might be serving 10s on a platter on her socials, the real question now is, will she be able to do the same on the mat? The world eagerly awaits!
