IShowSpeed’s been chasing rainbows lately, and let’s just say, the pot of gold might be a little farther than he expected! First, he took on the world’s fastest man, Noah Lyles, in a sprint showdown, boldly claiming that even pro athletes were scared to race him. And while everyone was definitely impressed with his athleticism (especially since he’s not a pro), Speed hit a wall when up against Noah’s lightning-fast speed. But hey, Speed’s not done yet! Just days ago, he was getting flipping tips from an Olympic bronze medalist gymnast and if that wasn’t enough, he went ahead and challenged him to a battle of flips. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go his way again!
In a reel posted by Fred Richard, the bronze medalist with Team USA gymnastics, Speed can be seen challenging the USA star to a high jump showdown at a Michigan Gymnastics training facility. And in true Speed fashion, he boldly declares, “There’s nobody on this planet who can jump higher than me!” which many would agree is an outlandish statement. However, Fred Richard’s reaction to this exaggerated boast was rather simple. “Loser has to take an ice bath,” he puts a condition forward for the YouTube streamer, who surprisingly agreed to shake hands over it.
Thus, days after racing Noah Lyles, IShowSpeed, and Fred Richard locked horns, starting with mats as high as 2 feet, which the former surpasses with a simple step. Whereas, Fred nailed it with a marvelous backflip, to which the internet personality reacted with, “Like why is he [Fred] showing out!” Next up, the 3ft level didn’t seem much of a challenge, but the 4ft mark had both of them boosting themselves. IShowSpeed asserted, “My names Speed” right before the leap, while Fred Richard claimed, “You know I am FrederickFlips” in reply.
Interestingly, neither one of them cracked under the pressure as they jumped the next two levels with great ease. But, when it came to the final rung, the 7ft mark, it was the same near-miss for IShowSpeed that happened against Noah Lyles. While Richard went for the jump first and landed perfectly, his competitor touched his knees on the mat in the first attempt, somehow managing to land. “I did it I did it” IShowSpeed claimed to have made it through, but both his attempts had the same result—they were good, but not quite enough!

Hours later, Fred Richard also uploaded a TikTok video of him helping IShowSpeed overcome PTSD. In it, the Olympic gymnast gives him tips while the YouTuber tries to fine-tune his backflips. With Fred’s advice to break the mental barrier and will it through, IShowSpeed finally nails the landing on the mat.
Well, this comes in shortly after IShowSpeed had turned to Fred Richard, for another training session, where Fred had previously helped the streamer perfect his somersaults on a trampoline. The duo spent a fun day at the training center, with Fred helping Speed perfect his backflips. In the process, Speed broke a trampoline (oops!) but then nailed a double backflip in just 80 minutes.
He was pumped, shouting, “Let’s go!”—but just minutes later, his celebration turned into a near disaster when he almost broke his neck attempting another double backflip. Thankfully, the soft surface saved him! While all these visuals may have left the fans in awe, nothing matches up to IShowSpeed’s famous 50m battle, one that allegedly left the entire athletic community scared of him.

The day Noah Lyles silence IShowSpeed
A week ago, out of nowhere, Noah Lyles decided to run against IShowSpeed for 50 meters, with $100k at stake thanks to Mr Beast. While the streamer started out of the blocks with an astonishing lead over Lyles, the Olympic champion picked up his pace and left the challenger out of breath. “You should practice with me and then at the end of the week, we’ll race again,” Lyles even offered to help brush up his sprinting skills. However, he had his own notions.
IShowSpeed remained confident that had it been a 40m race, he would have defeated Noah Lyles. The viral YouTuber did come quite close to the Olympian athlete, which raised many eyebrows as to why was Noah Lyles’ sprint this lackluster. But IShowSpeed’s claim, “Now, everybody is scared to race me. I’m not about to say no names, but all these people who are professionals.. whatever they’re professionals at… they are scared to race me,” still sounded a bit over the top.

In fact, he even took a jab at Lyles, saying, “That even goes out to Noah. That’s the reason Noah didn’t even want to race me again. If Noah would have raced me again, he knows he would have lost. He wasn’t tired. He wasn’t tired at all.” Well, as we can see, IShowSpeed’s big ambitions didn’t stop there. Today, he took on Fred Richard in another challenge, but once again, the pros showed him how it’s done, and he ended up with a patient loss. So, do you think IShowSpeed is all talk and no show, or does he actually have skills that can rival Olympic medalists? Let us know what you think!
