In a recent Instagram story, Simone Biles’ sister-in-law, Sammi Biles, shared an agonizing update. She posted a carousel post featuring her husband and Simone’s brother Ron Biles II and Baby Biles and wrote in the caption, “In the thick of motherhood. days I’ve dreamt about for years.” She opened up, sharing her experiences with motherhood and the challenges she has been facing recently. Mentioning going through three miscarriages, she shared how she was now in the “RPL category,” which means recurrent pregnancy loss. Sammi further revealed how, after the most recent miscarriage, she had some health concerns and had to be rushed to the ER, where she went through various medical examinations to make sure everything was okay. Sammi’s sunny optimism and resilience amid these travails were noted by fans.

This process brought up a lot of anxiety and fear, especially during an ultrasound where she couldn’t bear to look at the screen because of the traumatic memories of the previous losses. But then, to make matters worse, she had to experience “waking up to Ronni covered in bright red blood sent me over the edge.” Despite the initial shock, she clarified that Ronni, aka Baby Biles, was okay and that “motherhood ain’t for the weak.” This heartfelt update follows the poignant start to the year that Sammi and Ron Biles II had.

The heartbreaking loss of their third baby

Baby Biles was born via IVF, and so Sammi shared that to try to have another child, Sammi and her husband would have to go through the process all over again.
