“Called the Whole Thing Off”: Simone Biles’ First-Ever Relationship Didn’t Last More Than One Day

Following a remarkable gymnastics career, Simone Biles is completely focused on her personal life. She is getting ready for her lavish wedding with NFL quarterback Jonathan Owens. However, prior to him, she dated former gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr. but broke up due to unclarified circumstances.

However, long ago, the four-time Olympic gold medalist dated someone else before dating Owens and Stacey, but their romance ended with a funny twist. She dated a boy named Dillon in her seventh grade, but they broke up due to the chaotic overthinking of little Biles.

Story of Simone Biles’ first relationship

Simone wrote about her first relationship in her book ‘Courage to Soar: A Body in Motion, A Life in Balance.’ She described her thoughts on dating him and how things work in a relationship.

At first, she defined his features, saying, “There was this one boy, Dillon, who sat behind me in social studies. He had long dark hair in a Justin Bieber kind of cut. I thought he was cute. He was always whispering and joking with me in class, so I suspected he might like me too. The other kids would ask, “Are you guys gonna date?” and we’d always say no, because in seventh grade, you never admit to that.”

After this, she penned the scene when he proposed to her in old romantic style. The boy Dillon gave her a little note, she recalled. “One day in class, Dillon passed a note to me that said, “Be my girlfriend.” Feeling suddenly flustered, I quickly scrawled “Yes” on the note and passed it back, but after class, I ran out of the room before he could say anything,” she wrote.

Describing her next day in school, Simone wrote how she said no to the boy. She wrote, “1 didn’t have the first clue, and I didn’t want to seem stupid, so when I saw Dillon in social studies later that day, I called the whole thing off. “So, um, Dillon, we’re not dating,” I said, trying to act all casual.” 

Made in heaven match

After many years of struggles and hustle, Simone found her perfect match through a dating app. She met Jonathan in 2020 but officially revealed her relationship in 2021 via an Instagram post. As the time moved forward, Owens proposed to Biles for marriage. Their engagement pictures went viral on social media and were loved by admirers.

While being the perfect icon of devotion and passion, the couple inspires the younger generation. After taking a break from her career, the four-time Olympic medalist is busy doing her wedding shopping.
