When your older sibling is Simone Biles, there is always a reason for your chest to swell with pride from all her glory. However, it also brings incredible pressure to your side of things as people start believing that you would replicate their success. This pressure is the reason why Adria had to quit the sport back in 2016, deciding to concentrate on other ventures.

Simone Biles herself talked about how tough it was for Adria to take part in the sport, as wherever she would go, people would start comparing her with Simone herself. People would say things like, “Oh, her sister always wins, she always wins, that’s not fair.’ So she quit.” Thus, with a heavy heart, Adria stepped away, as she couldn’t take what the sport was doing to her mental health. However, now it seems that she’s quite enjoying her time away from gymnastics as she brought about a new change in her personal life.

On November 22nd, Simone Biles’ sister Adria Biles uploaded two stories on her Instagram, where she was seen giving away her old car and then buying a new one. In the first story, she gave away her car, which was a white Jeep, and might have been driven by her for quite a long time. She captioned this story by saying, “Said bye to the Jeep today.” But this is not the story that caught the attention of the fans.

In the next story, Simone Biles’ sister Adria was seen with the car with which she replaced her Jeep. It was a brand new Black Mercedes SUV, which looked absolutely stunning. Adria was in the showroom and had probably just been handed the keys to her new vehicle, which she didn’t seem to get enough of. “say hi to my new baby😍” Thus, safe to say, she was extremely happy with her gift, which she seemed to have bought for herself. In fact, as of late, the gymnast seems to be enjoying her life, as she uploaded another story a month ago about a new venture that she is taking part in.

Adria uploaded another Instagram story on October 8th, where she talked about her new job in the WCC, the gym owned by Ronald and Nellie Biles, who are her parents. There, Adria has taken up the responsibility to teach young children who are just starting in gymnastics.

She uploaded pictures while high-fiving them and cheering them on as they tried their new routines. In the caption, she wrote, “I’m so in love with my job, and I’m so grateful I get to be their coach. They’re my babies, and I’m obsessed with them!” Thus, Simone Biles’ sister has now found happiness in the sport itself, but in a different way than she first envisioned. That being said, Adria is extremely proud of her sister. In fact, she talked about her gymnastics success in an interview after the Olympics.

Simone Biles’ sister opens up on her gymnastics career

After Simone Biles completed her insane medal haul in Paris, burying the ghosts of Tokyo, her sister Adria Biles sat with Chris Osmond for an interview to talk about her sister. She spoke about things about the gymnast that the normal public is not quite aware of. Adria also talked about how Ronnie and Nellie Biles taking care of them completely changed their lives and paved the way for Simone to have a great career.

She said, “I think she is an alien. Yeah, I’m like, you’re crazy like you’re a crazy human. I think that, given our circumstances growing up, I kind of think about that sometimes because I’m like she had the talent, but had she not been given the resources, I don’t think she would be where she is, so obviously forever grateful for that.” 

Simone’s childhood had started a bit rough as her mother, Shannon Biles, was unable to take care of her and her three other siblings, putting them into foster care. There, the gymnast had numerous bad experiences, which led to her grandparents, Ronnie and Nellie, taking over the siblings and eventually raising them to be what they are today. In hindsight, this played a major role in shaping her life to become the huge winner that we know her as today. Thus, both Simone and Adria have come from different circumstances in their lives and have learned to thrive from there.
