The queen of gymnastics, Simone Biles, has had quite a few collaborations over the years. The world has seen her with Netflix, Visa Cards, K18 hair, and Nulo Pet food, amongst others. And when it comes to events, she has been spotted in premiers to pitches! But this upcoming collaboration is perhaps the most unlikely of them all! Biles will be on the American singing show The Voice!
Yes, that’s right. Simone Biles is teaming up with none other than Snoop Dogg for an upcoming episode of The Voice! Not as a contestant but as a playoff advisor. So what does this entail? She will offer guidance to aspiring vocalists alongside Snoop. The pairing is a natural one, as both share a history of thriving under pressure. And even performing for large audiences! However, not everybody has been on board with this.
Once the announcement was made, in came the barrage of doubts, with many even questioning the value a gymnastics icon can bring to the world of music. It is a fair question, but the world seems to forget that she is also a performer and a crowd-pleaser. When Biles is on the mat, all eyes are on her. That presence builds over time, so who better to teach upcoming stars about performance than the queen herself? And Biles’ coach seems to understand this!

So much so that Biles’ long-time coach, Cecile Landi, is keeping the hope alive, Landi, after all, has seen Biles conquer the world since 2017 and has no doubt she’ll do the same voice. Landi even took to Instagram and wrote, “Congrats!! I’m so excited for you”. Biles may not know how to create or sing a tune. But she knows how to get the world on its toes in a matter of just seconds! So when will the world see her?
Simone is set to make her Voice debut on the November 25 episode. Despite all the confusion and criticism from the fandom, Simone Biles is moving forward, shutting out the noise. Additionally, the queen does have some support. And no, Landi is not the only one to pour in love!

Talking about the same, even Biles went on to add about how their dynamic together can bring something new. As Biles puts it, “We were able to riff off each other and give the artists the best insight.” As Snoop pointed out, the real magic happens behind the scenes when the pressure is on. Noivas Wright, a performer and singer from Season 23 of The Voice, also came out in support of the queen. “People not realizing that Simone can actually give great advice on performance, routine, stage presence, and confidence. It’s not just about ‘the voice,’” he explained. He is not wrong, after all, Simone Biles is a 7 time Olympic Gold medalist who has managed to deliver multiple performances that the world can’t seem to forget. Perhaps that is exactly the confidence that even Cecile Landi seems to have.
