Thanksgiving is a major festive occasion in the United States and Canada. For American gymnast Jordan Chiles, it is more special this year than in years past. The native of Vancouver, Washington, calls Los Angeles, California, her home now. Regardless, she rings on the holiday in New York City this year.
Thanksgiving is a holiday known for, among other things, the traditional feast starring a turkey. Gourmets enjoy the holiday more than most, it is safe to say. Jordan Chiles also delved into the festivities as her latest social media post suggests. Alongside, she seems to have taken a short break from the strict diet and regimen.

A gift basket for Jordan Chiles from renowned chocolatier
Jordan Chiles shared a story on Instagram ahead of Thanksgiving Day. In it, she shared a video recording of a gift basket of goodies from Jacques Torres Chocolate. Jacques Torres Chocolate is a renowned name in the world of gourmet chocolates. The eponymous brand of French pastry chef and chocolatier Jacques Torres is currently based out of New York City. Chiles’ story carried the caption, “Let the Thanksgiving festivities begin”.

New York City is also the site for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, there will be around 26 floats, 32 novelty and heritage inflatables, 12 marching bands, 700 clowns, and eight performing groups. Jordan Chiles has already announced her excitement about being a part of the parade recently.

A chance to fulfill a longstanding dream
Jordan Chiles has long wanted to be a part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She will get to represent the Olympics in the parade and simultaneously scratch another item off her bucket list. That makes for the second one taken care of this calendar year after being a flag-bearer at the Pan-American Games in Chile. Chiles will be joined by Paralympic stars Ezra Frech and Jessica Long.

The 97th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade promises to be a spectacle for all parties. Jordan Chiles, in particular, will get to live her dream of being a part of it, after indulging in some richly deserved treats. It will make for a short break from her intense training regimen and strict diet. The parade will end at noon at Macy’s Herald Square. There will be restricted viewing along some parts of the route while others, such as parts of Central Park West and 6th Avenue, promise great views.
