Recently, Olivia Dunne showcased her interest in joining ice hockey after witnessing a possible first match. However, back on the mats after the holidays, the gymnast has her ultimate sight unwavering. After partially missing out the past season due to an injury and in the spirit of her final year, the gymnast has revealed her hopes to fetch LSU the championship for 2024. In the hopes of doing so, the SI Swimsuit model has presented her staunch presence on the mats; ready to lock horns.

The gymnastics season for 2024 is taking precedence and with it, the updates on LSU gymnastics social media. Practice sessions, behind-the-scenes, and constant encouragement have all adorned the team’s Instagram page. This time around, it was the practice stills that made it to the carousel ahead of the first official meet. Olivia Dunne, framing one of the threads took to her profile to share the update and invite spectators for the opening evening. “Be there or be squared,” her Instagram story read with an image of her performing a perfect split.

Olivia Dunne, seen on balance beam holds a rather dominant record on floor and uneven bars in particular for the NCAA seasons. On the former, Livvy holds a career-high of 9.90 while on bars, the score reads, 9.925. As evident from the post, Livvy is to be joined by athletes owing their element to claim desired results.

The rooster aims high
Aleah Finnegan; who is prepping for a shot at the 2024 Olympics, Cammy Hall; who holds the 2022 season-best on Vault, Haleigh Bryant; who has clinched perfect 10s across 3 apparatus, frame a small part of the LSU rooster for 2024. With an impressive opening event at the Gym 101, head coach Jay Clark and the team hold high hopes for the upcoming season.

“It was extremely encouraging to see what we saw tonight,” Jay stated after the event. “We are going to continue to iron out the wrinkles and get better, but I’m excited about the potential.” The team finished 4th in the nation last year with 197.525. This year they will look for an increase starting against Ohio State on the 5th of January.
