Could you imagine being the “IT Couple” on campus? Well, Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes lived that at LSU. The gymnast and baseball pitcher had their cute meet right on campus. When the LSU star first saw her future beau on the baseball field, he didn’t even have a mustache. But he caught her eye, and she started following him. This led to a chill date with ice cream, and the rest was history. However, they soon realized that their paths were meant to cross, given how Skenes’ best friend happened to be dating Livvy’s roommate.

Talk about being meant to be! But they aren’t just two kids in love, no. Since the baseball pitcher was drafted as the No. 1 pick for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Dunner has been right by his side every step of the way. As for her rise to the top? She led the LSU women’s gymnastics team to their first NCAA tournament in April 2024. Even though they’ve tried supporting each other through their illustrious careers, their schedules have kept them apart most of the time. However, she can’t wait for that to change.

Olivia Dunne looks forward to the WAG experience

Even though their adorable love story blossomed on the LSU campus, Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne had to transition into a long-distance since he started for the Pirates in May. In fact, she has been busy with her own collegiate career. However, this means that she hasn’t been able to attend many games. Yet, she enjoys how the baseball community has been so welcoming on social media and in real life. “I really enjoy posting about my life, and also I love supporting Paul and traveling with him,” she admitted to Glamour.

But has she got to live that experience more often? No. However, she does look forward to it. “I only got to travel with Paul, I think, twice this summer to his away games, but I would love to keep doing that and continue being a WAG,” she confessed. The top-paid female NCAA athlete had another reason to celebrate recently. On November 18, the official MLB Instagram account announced the special honor – he won the National League Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year award.

Unsurprisingly, Livvy was over the moon. She commented that Skenes deserved it in the post. However, this wasn’t the only highlight of their year. The 22-year-old had an incredible performance in his debut year before making it to the All-MLB first team shortly after. He signed with the Pirates with a record $9.2 million bonus, and in his first season, chalked up an impressive 45 strikeouts in 27.1 innings. The lovebirds find a way to make time for each other

The duo first announced their relationship in August of last year. However, things changed when the baseball player signed for his first MLB team. Due to their extremely busy schedules, they have been spending most of their time apart. But it looks like they have found their way around this unlikely situation.

Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes have been busy focusing on each other’s comforts despite the distance. But the 22-year-old found an incredibly romantic way to navigate through this. When the gymnast spoke to Flau’Jae, she mentioned that he tried to arrange a private jet to make her travel more comfortable. 

Livvy reiterated that Skene understood what she needed. In fact, she doesn’t have the time to drive herself, so he always tried to find ways to give her a more comfortable option of getting from point A to point B. Who would have thought that arranging a private jet for his girlfriend would be the ideal solution?
However, Skenes would often ask Olivia Dunne to come spend time with him. Why? Because he simply wanted to spend time with the love of his life. Given that they’re so in sync, he would often tell her to visit over the weekend because she would have the time to do so. It often ranges from taking short trips to catching a glimpse of his games.
