Months after Zoe Miller suffered from a concussion during training, she’s back and has plenty to celebrate in 2023. The 17-year-old gymnast not only made a remarkable comeback, but she also clinched the top spot on the bars at the 2023 Core Hydration Classic in early August. The athlete even pocketed $200 in an unusual money stake initiated by her fellow gymnast and multiple Olympic gold medalist, Simone Biles!

This happened during Biles’ first competition since her widely-publicized withdrawal from the Tokyo 2021 Olympics due to mental health reasons. Biles challenged her younger teammate, Miller, betting that she wouldn’t perform an unconventional celebration dance following her bar routine. Despite doubts, Miller rose to the occasion, and Biles paid up. Miller playfully danced her way to the bank, where she deposited the prize money while contemplating how to spend it.

Miller made her way to the Pan-American event very swiftly. Recently the gymnast posted a few Instagram stories, where she created a poll asking her fans a question. She asked, Where do you think I’m headed?” Most of her fans speculated that she might be going to Belgium for the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. But on the other stories, she clarified that going on a one-day trip at the Maimi. Miller also shared her grief about not being a part of the World Championship in Belgium.

With the 2023 Pan-Am event looming ahead, Miller is focused on more than just her celebratory dance moves. After Miller’s achievement, she acknowledged that she was working to build on her success way more than before. As a two-time national team member, she is eager to perform in Chiles, sharing the mat with her teammate, Jordan Chile.
