The digital fame lineup grew richer rolling out another bunch of wealthiest people this year. American athlete Olivia Dunne reached a major milestone with some of last year’s top internet “influencers.” Starting at just three years old, Dunne developed a passion for landing on mats. She successfully transitioned from an elite US gymnastics team member to an NCAA athlete at LSU. However, she became popular after capitalizing on her NIL opportunities which turned to a seven-figure salary in two years.

Apart from being the highest-paid collegiate athlete in history, Dunne has also amassed a massive fan following on social media platforms. The gymnast made a successful transition from wearing leotards to becoming the 2023 SI swimsuit model this summer, solidifying her status among the wealthy elite. In a recent update, the final-year athlete was added to the prestigious American business magazine’s list of personalities, though she still has a long way to go before reaching the top.

This year was full of successes for Dunne who saved and reunited with the swimwear brand, as well as made her cross-sport appearances and even went public with her relationship. At the top of all her personal accomplishments lies her featuring in Forbes’s Top 50 social media influential honorees. The 20-year-old lies in the 48th spot with $2.3 earnings from her off-mats salary. Dunne shared a TikTok slideshow of pictures from her photoshoot with Billionaire song with the lyrics, “Uh, I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine Smiling next to Oprah and the Queen” playing.

Notably, the gymnast stood way below Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast. Dunne had also posted the same on her Instagram account captioning it “truly an honor @forbes”?followed by a white heart. According to Forbes’ second annual Top Creator list, the creators on the list generated an estimated $700 million in revenue.

The most streamed, engaged individuals with a total of 2.6 billion followers make the most earnings on various platforms. After NIL’s inception, Dunne was able to enter the creator marketing field, which is projected to be worth $21 billion in brand spending this year. In comparison; Earnings: followers: average engagement for Mr. Beast is $82M: 312M: 9.8%. The YouTube king has more fans than there are people in the United States, or more than 300 million.

Whereas Olivia Dunne is much like a prodigy with $2.3M: 12M: 5.00% numbers. A staggering difference of $79.7 million in wealth from sponsorships and digitally connected clients between the two. One cannot discuss their global attention this year without mentioning their recent drama.

A brand name in himself, YT titan MrBeast is often making news with his videos. To keep things interesting for his 164 million followers, he collaborates with other influencers to bring fresh content. However, in July, Olivia Dunne declined an offer to work with him on an undisclosed script. Although the TikTok sensation never shies away from providing glimpses of her daily activities on social media, including her gymnastics routines.

Both Dunne and Donaldson are the reigning icons of their platforms, while there is still time for the gymnast who will be taking up the role full-time after graduation. Meanwhile, Mr. Beast is at the rescue with his unique videos that keep the internet entertained.
