However, the internet has not all been so nice about Kelce or Swift. Just recently, infamous American sports columnist, Skip Bayless wrote on Twitter(X), “Mahomes just said on Amazon Prime that the hook-and-lateral Travis Kelce ran tonight was not a called play – that he lateraled on his own. Following the Chiefs and Broncos game, Patrick Mahomes candidly spoke about the game in the Prime Video’s postgame show. However, Kelce (despite having an ankle injury) went 124 yards on nine catches, but it didn’t help the Chiefs score any points. Now, this was just one of the many times Bayless took a dig at the trending couple.

Skip Bayless nerves through the NFL course
This Sunday, Kevin O’Connell, the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, disagreed with the referee’s decision on L’Jarius Sneed’s possible penalty while Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, agreed. With 4:54 remaining in the game, Minnesota was behind 27-20 and faced a fourth-and-12 from the KC 24. As Sneed covered Jordan Addison, the referee raised a flag for potential defensive pass interference.

Skip Bayless was furious with Sneed for taking off his helmet so close to the official and made a Taylor reference. He shared a tweet saying, “Refs just saved the Taylor Swifts. That was Pass I and obviously should’ve been a helmet-off penalty.” Previously, he also made a “Taylor Swift era” reference after the Lions game. Since succumbing to the Lions in the opening week of the season, the Chiefs have continued their winning streak on yet another game.
