Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy not only shares his unfeigned perspective through his sports and pop culture blog but has also created a portal for sports enthusiasts through his company-owned podcasts. However, one of the channels ‘Call Her Daddy’, an advice and comedy podcast that got separated from Portnoy’s company in early 2020, has now flaunted a full circle moment by collaborating with Dave Portnoy once again.
Now partnered with Spotify, ‘Call Her Daddy’ saw multiple issues when it came to the acquisition of the show. However, with the recent update shared by Portnoy on social media, things have now come a long way as Barstool sports is still involved in the show’s merchandising. Interestingly, Portnoy visited the podcast show ‘Call Her Daddy’ which is hosted by Alexandra Cooper. After all, the drama that stirred up in 2020 is now nowhere to be seen amongst these celebrities as they sat down together in the podcast recently.

After joining forces with ‘Call Her Daddy’ host, Alexandra Cooper, Dave Portnoy made it to the spotlight after making an appearance on the show. He shared a post on his Instagram account where he is seen sitting with Cooper on the show.
The post carried a video that showed Cooper referring to Portnoy as a ‘special guest’ welcoming him with an interesting introduction that made the audience go crazy. Portnoy captioned this post, “All time pop @alexandracooper @callherdaddy”.
She stated, “This guest and I have quite the public relationship and we’ve been through some shit together. He was my first boss in the industry.”?After the introduction, the audience went crazy for Portnoy and couldn’t stop cheering for him. His entrance just lit up the podcast with all the love the audience showed for him.

Nevertheless, after many controversies and parleys, this podcast is now solely under the ownership of Cooper. However, after the fiasco due to which things went downhill for the merger between the ‘Call Her Daddy’ hosts and Barstool sports in 202o, both the stakeholders made peace on common ground and joined hand for the acquisition. And, Dave Portnoy’s appearance on the show sealed the deal for the fandom, that things look better than before.

The Call Her Daddy is an advice and comedy podcast that was initially created by Sofia Franklyn and Alexandra Cooper in 2018. Barstool Sports formerly owned the show, but after a publicized dispute between Portnoy and Franklyn, its contract came to an end in 2021 June.

The end of this collaborate ended after Cooper announced a deal with Spotify of $60 million. However, the merchandising of this podcast is still under Barstool. The separation of both companies was not as simple as it sounds.
A public dispute took place between Cooper and Franklyn with Dave Portnoy. After this dispute, Franklyn ended up leaving the show and Cooper, after making peace with Barstool Sports, continued hosting the show.
