The 2023 running of the Las Vegas Grand Prix was a spectacle. With the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships already done and dusted, Max Verstappen and Red Bull consolidated their standings atop both tables. Verstappen won the race to make it 18 wins for the season. Sergio Perez, of Red Bull too, finished third in the race behind Charles Leclerc of Ferrari.
There were a few star studded faces in the stands watching gleefully. Shaquille O’Neal could be seen posing with members of Verstappen’s racing team. Others nearby included DJ Tiesto, soccer players Marcus Bettinelli and Trevoh Chalobah, Sir Rod Stewart, and Gordon Ramsay. One more seized the eye in front of Verstappen’s car. Enter the contortionist, actress, singer, and Internet personality Sofie Dossi.

Essentially a self-taught contortionist, Sofie Dossi performed one of her trademark contortions in front of Max Verstappen’s car. Red Bull Racing took to their Instagram handle and shared an image of Dossi in that pose. The adjoining caption went thus, “Stars under Vegas lights.” There were other images besides, including many of the aforementioned famous names. Dossi was visible on her hands, with her legs pulled forward over her head. The ease with which she pulled off that pose is comparable to the way in which Verstappen won the Drivers’ championship this season.

Compared to his victories in 2021 and 2022, Max Verstappen practically coasted to the title. He was the best driver by a mile. The next best driver, Perez, finished with a little less than half the number of points amassed by Verstappen. Now, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix remains, to be held on November 26. That will be the final race of the season.
